Role Purpose
The Club Welfare Officer ensures Kenningwell United Women’s Football Club provides a safe, inclusive, and compliant environment. You will lead the administration of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and safeguard the wellbeing of all members.
Key Responsibilities
- DBS Management: Act as the lead administrator for all club DBS checks.
- Compliance Tracking: Maintain secure, up-to-date records of coaching staff qualifications.
- Policy Enforcement: Implement and promote FA safeguarding policies across the club.
- Primary Contact: Act as the trusted point of contact for safety or compliance concerns.
- Committee Reporting: Provide regular compliance updates to the Club Committee.
Skills & Requirements
- Organisation: Strong administrative skills to manage confidential data.
- Communication: Ability to speak honestly and empathetically with staff.
- Commitment: Approximately 6 hours per month of flexible, remote volunteering.

What You’ll Do
- Guardian of Compliance: Take ownership of the club’s DBS check process. Ensure every coach and staff member is safely vetted before hitting the pitch.
- Keep Us Accountable: Maintain secure, confidential spreadsheets of staff safeguarding credentials and renewal dates.
- Trusted Contact: Act as the go-to person for safeguarding queries, listening with empathy and directing matters appropriately.
- Nurture Culture: Promote a welcoming, inclusive environment that adheres to FA safeguarding standards.
