Companion Volunteer – West Yorkshire and Craven

The Marie Curie Companion Service is a wonderful gift of giving your time to someone terminally ill that lives in the community.  We ask for you to volunteer three hours of time per week and a commitment of at least 12 months.  Often it is just sitting and having a chat over a cup of coffee but sometimes the Compnions will go out with the client for a walk or visit a garden centre or even a spot of baking.   A little bit of IT and training will be required as well as attending the hospice a few times a year to engage with peers.
