Location: ​Aston Park (Birmingham)

Hours: 3-4 hours minimum between 11 Dec to 16 Dec and 19 Dec and 20 Dec

Closing Date: 9 December 2024

 

The opportunity

As a Christmas Shoebox Appeal Volunteer, you will help us make December more festive by helping us prepare and pack gifts to thousands of people seeking asylum across West Midlands. This is a one-off volunteer opportunity, and we appreciate every hour you can dedicate to the cause.

 

What you will do

  • Complete induction on the day
  • Sorting, checking donated gifts for suitability e.g. age and packing into shoeboxes
  • Organise and wrap gifts to later be distributed to our clients
  • Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and policies
  • Volunteer as part of a diverse team

You will be an excellent candidate for this role if you

  • You are local to Birmingham area.
  • You are passionate about social justice and supporting the most vulnerable.
  • You have a couple of hours that week to give.
  • Have a positive and can-do attitude
