The Role: IT Specialist – VOLUNTEER ROLE

This is a pivotal role for someone who believes in empowerment, growth, transformation, and the power of technology to enable change — and wants to help shape a charity from the ground up.

As MINDSET’s IT Specialist, you will lead the development, configuration, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You will ensure our laptops, smartphones, systems, and digital tools are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose. You will also play a key role in building and maintaining our CRM and Service User Case Management cloud platform, as well as our Office 365, including email set up and SharePoint — the backbone of how we support men safely and effectively.

You will be the go‑to person for volunteers needing technical support, and you’ll help deliver induction sessions so everyone feels confident using MINDSET’s platforms.

Your work will directly enable our volunteers to deliver life‑changing support to men across England.

What You’ll Do

• Configure and maintain MINDSET’s laptops, smartphones, and digital devices.

• Build, source, and manage our CRM and Service User Case Management cloud platform, as well as our Office 365 tools and platforms.

• Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and used only for MINDSET purposes.

• Provide technical support to volunteers, helping them resolve IT issues.

• Lead or co‑lead induction sessions on how to use MINDSET’s digital platforms.

• Maintain documentation, guides, and simple how‑to resources.

• Support the leadership team with digital strategy and system improvements.

• Champion a culture of clarity, confidence, empowerment, and digital readiness.

What You Bring

• Experience in IT support, systems administration, CRM management, or digital infrastructure.

• Confidence configuring devices, managing cloud platforms, and troubleshooting issues.

• A passion for men’s mental wellbeing, personal growth, and social change.

• Patience, clarity, and the ability to explain tech in simple, friendly ways.

• A hands‑on, start‑up mindset and willingness to build systems from scratch.

• A belief in the power of uplifting, empowering, and transformative support.

• Commitment to building something new, vibrant, and meaningful.
