Volunteer Coordinator (Volunteer Position)

MINDSET is a new, volunteer‑run charity with a bold mission: to transform men’s lives across England by giving them something too many have been missing — space, brotherhood, and community. We create non‑therapeutic programmes where men can breathe, connect, grow, and rediscover their strength without judgment or pressure.

Through workshops, creative projects, group activities, and community‑based experiences, we help men build confidence, resilience, and purpose. We believe every man deserves a place where he feels supported, understood, and part of something bigger.

To bring this movement to life, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Volunteer Coordinator to help shape our culture, build our volunteer family, and lay the foundations of a national force for good.

The Role

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the heartbeat of our volunteer community. You will design and deliver a volunteering experience that feels uplifting, empowering, and deeply human — ensuring every volunteer feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to make a difference.

This is a role for someone who believes in people, believes in community, and believes that men deserve spaces where they can show up as themselves and grow.

What You’ll Lead

Build a Volunteering Programme with Purpose

• Create a clear, inclusive, and inspiring volunteering framework.

• Shape recruitment pathways and onboarding journeys that feel warm, structured, and meaningful.

• Ensure our processes protect wellbeing, dignity, and accessibility.

Recruit & Onboard a Movement of Volunteers

• Attract passionate, skilled volunteers who want to uplift men and communities.

• Lead interviews, inductions, and welcome sessions that feel personal and empowering.

• Match volunteers to roles where they can thrive and contribute their best.

Grow a Culture of Brotherhood & Belonging

• Foster a supportive, positive, team‑spirited environment.

• Champion psychological safety, open communication, and genuine connection.

• Celebrate contributions and nurture long‑term engagement.

Build Systems That Sustain Community

• Develop volunteer handbooks, safeguarding processes, and people‑centred policies.

• Create systems for communication, supervision, and ongoing development.

• Ensure MINDSET remains a safe, ethical, uplifting space for all.
