Job description

VOLUNTEER ROLE: HR & VOLUNTEERING OFFICER

Be Part of the Team That’s Changing Men’s Lives

MINDSET is not your typical charity. We’re a movement. A brotherhood. A mission to rewrite the story of men’s mental wellbeing across the country.

We speak to men in a way that feels real — through action, honesty, challenge, and connection. No clinical jargon. No cold waiting rooms. Just real conversations, real growth, and real change.

And now, we’re looking for a HR & Volunteering Officer who wants to help build the people‑power behind this movement.

If you’re someone who believes in purpose, who cares deeply about people, and who wants to help shape something that truly matters — this role will feel like home.

Why This Role Matters

Every volunteer who joins MINDSET becomes part of a mission that saves lives, strengthens families, and builds stronger communities.

Your work will help ensure:

  • Volunteers feel supported, valued, and empowered

  • Our culture of honesty, courage, and brotherhood is lived every day

  • Men across the country meet teams who truly care

  • Our movement grows safely, ethically, and with heart

You won’t just be “doing admin.” You’ll be helping build the backbone of a national movement.

What You’ll Do

Working closely with the Head of HR & Volunteering, you will:

  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement

  • Help create a warm, inclusive, stigma‑free volunteer experience

  • Assist with training, safeguarding processes, and wellbeing support

  • Maintain volunteer records and help build HR systems that grow with us

  • Champion our culture code — honesty, courage, growth, brotherhood, action

  • Be a point of contact for volunteers who need guidance, reassurance, or support

  • Help shape the people‑side of a charity that’s expanding across England

You’ll be part of the team that ensures every volunteer feels seen, supported, and ready to make a difference.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A caring, people‑first mindset

  • Strong organisation and communication skills

  • A passion for supporting volunteers

  • A belief in our mission and values

  • A willingness to learn, grow, and lead with empathy

  • The courage to help men feel safe, supported, and understood

If you’ve ever thought, “I want to help build something meaningful,” this is your chance.

What You’ll Be Part Of

MINDSET is building:

  • Peer‑led support groups across the country

  • Action‑based wellbeing programmes

  • Workshops that build resilience, confidence, and emotional strength

  • Talk Zones in barbershops, gyms, and workplaces

  • A digital platform for mental fitness and personal growth

  • A national movement that redefines what strength looks like

This isn’t a moment. It’s a movement.

What You’ll Gain

This is a volunteer role — but the impact is real.

You’ll gain:

  • Experience in HR, volunteering, and people operations

  • The chance to help shape a charity from the ground up

  • A supportive team that feels like a brotherhood

  • Purpose, pride, and the knowledge that your work changes lives

  • A role that grows with you

If This Mission Speaks to You… Step Forward.

Men need us. Men need you. And together, we can build something powerful — something that helps men not just survive, but thrive.

Apply now. Join the movement. Reset the mindset — for others, and for yourself.
