This is a new team, supporting the Lead Volunteer for the British Overseas Territories, to help develop 5 of our British Overseas Territories (Bermuda, Gibraltar, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands) in line with UK Scouting. 

We are looking for support with a few different areas: 

• Programme – working with the UK Leads for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and colleagues across BSO and the regions, developing guidance and resources to support the delivery of safe, engaging, suitable programmes for the young people in our overseas territories 

• Learning - ensuring compliance with learning modules, and building a virtual community of volunteers who can support and deliver training across the 5 countries, ensuring provision and completion of all learning for all adults 

• Communications - building a campaign of internal communications across the British Overseas Territories to ensure consistent, engaging communications between the island and countries, as well as ensuring communications from UK HQ are shared across suitable platforms 

• Volunteer Experience – supporting transformation across the British Overseas Territories and engaging the adult volunteers there with the volunteer experience changes.

Trustees are expected to attend four meetings a year, usually with two meetings being held virtually, and two held in-person at different locations across the UK. Trustee positions are voluntary and non-remunerated and reasonable expenses are paid.

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the delivery of groupwork to clients who have experienced domestic abuse. NDAS runs a variety of group work programmes designed to support both male and female victims of domestic abuse, as well as a programme dedicated to perpetrator awareness. The role holder will be expected to support the delivery of these programmes and to work alongside the facilitator.

Programmes run both daytime and evenings and volunteers would need to be available for one 2.5-3 hour session, on a regular basis, on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between 9:45am – 12:15pm or 6:45pm – 9:15pm. 

Key Activities:

• Attending groups and supporting facilitators with delivery
• Providing support and understanding to participants throughout the programme
• Liaising closely with facilitators to give handovers where necessary 
• Help with Client admin 
• The role could be extended for the right candidate to include some administration for the programmes which might include calling/emailing clients from waiting lists to invite them to groups that have been set up and ensuring clients relevant information before the start of each group

We are a volunteer-run organisation whose aim is to ensure that everybody impacted by borderline personality disorder is supported in their recovery. 

Peer support is about sharing your lived experience of mental health struggles with other people with the hope of providing, support, encouragement, and validation that you understand what they are going through, that they are not alone in their feelings and circumstance. We believe that peer support is an important part of the recovery journey, as it provides a space for support, shared understanding, helps reduce stigma and fosters motivation and hope. 

We run several online peer support groups each month for people living with borderline personality disorder and are seeking compassionate and empathetic people to co-facilitate the groups. All groups are facilitated by two peer support workers, and follow a semi-structured pattern. Our groups include:

• Family

As a volunteer, you will receive comprehensive training, accessible online. We also provide ongoing supervision, support to ensure that you can effectively support others while prioritizing your own recovery. We provide peer support to people living with borderline personality disorder, through our online groups which are run throughout the month. As well as general support groups, we also have specialist groups for men-only, women-only, LGBTQIA+, young people and families. Support the Nova Family Programme tutors in facilitating online home school sessions.

Role Description:

Role Description
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a vital part, in organising and assisting with our fundraising activities. All the proceeds from these activities go directly towards helping care for the pets of those experiencing homelessness. StreetVet are looking for a volunteer Fundraising Assistant to work with the Head of Fundraising to help with varied fundraising/administrative activities.
You will help support StreetVet’s patients and their owners by strengthening StreetVet’s fundraising capability.

What can you expect to be doing?
The volunteer Fundraising Assistant will work with the Head of Fundraising to deliver on the fundraising strategy and plan for StreetVet. There will also be a close working relationship with the marketing team to deliver fundraising events, campaigns and social media posts.

The main responsibilities for this role:
The Fundraising Assistant will work with the Head of Fundraising to provide support to the department on a wide range of tasks including but not limited to:
• Administration and support - provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including fundraising enquires (postal, email, online)
