Job description

As one of Britain’s most distinctive public art galleries, Pallant House Gallery offers critically-acclaimed exhibitions and a world-class collection of Modern British art, set within a beautiful 18th century Grade I listed townhouse and contemporary wing. 

We are currently inviting applications from prospective new Trustees with skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Fundraising and philanthropy in museums, galleries and the cultural sector, particularly in relation to major donor networks and/or trusts and foundations
  • Capital redevelopment projects, particularly architectural design, project management and construction
  • Digital communications and marketing
  • Current professional experience of the museums, galleries and heritage sector, including knowledge of the public sector priorities and funding

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and previous Board experience is not required. The successful candidates will be given an induction into the working of the Gallery. This is a voluntary role but the Gallery will reimburse Trustees for reasonable travel or out-of-pocket expenses, in line with our expenses policy.
