Job description

Guided by local insight, for over two decades, Quaggy Development Trust (QDT) has delivered essential community and family services across our diverse neighbourhoods in Greenwich, Plumstead and North Lewisham. Alongside our children’s centres and nurseries, we run one of the area’s few BACP-accredited community counselling services. We also provide a range of support for young people and older residents, including dedicated services and signposting to partner organisations, as well as community wide services that benefit people of all ages.

Now is an exciting time to join the Board of Trustees at Quaggy Development Trust.

As a Trustee, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our future direction - contributing to new ideas, driving service improvements, and supporting innovation across our work.

The role offers a meaningful way to apply your professional expertise while making a positive impact in the community. It’s also a chance to expand your knowledge of charity governance within a growing and dynamic organisation.

What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Senior-level experience in either Strategic Planning, Change Management, Fundraising, Human Resources, Legal or Communications within the public, private, or voluntary sector.

At Quaggy Development Trust, we value the unique contributions of every individual and are committed to being an equal opportunities employer.

We strive to create an inclusive workplace where all Trustees, staff, and volunteers feel respected, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

We aim to reflect the diverse communities, young people, and families we serve, and actively welcome applicants with lived experience relevant to our work.

We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian, and other minoritised ethnic groups, as well as disabled individuals, who remain underrepresented in charity sector leadership.
