We are "Scotia Youth" a new start-up young people’s charity that aims to empower young people by providing new opportunities and life experiences in a fresh, vibrant, fun, engaging and inspiring approach, where we will deliver highly effective engaging, fun and impactful programmes that UNITE young people and communities for a more equal and tolerant society, EDUCATE young people in life, social and work skills, EMPOWER a generation of young successful, confident, effective and responsible leaders and active citizens, and CHANGE the negative stereotypes society can have of young people by promoting the good that young people do.

Come join our community as our Volunteer Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in helping us provide much needed opportunities and new experiences for volunteers in Edinburgh, where you will lead on the recruitment, induction, motivation and engagement of our volunteers from the start of their journey with us until they finish with us, bith short and long term volunteers.

This volunteer opportunity is flexible and can be done around your availabilty. Our activities and programmes are one off and short term to allow for a more flexible volunteering opportunity and you will manage your own workload to fit around committments and you role with us.

This role involves setting up our volunteering programme, creating processes and systems to make it easy for us as a charity to enage, monitor and engage volunteers and to ensure we have an amazing volunteer culture and experience to offer those who give up their time and skills to help us and young people in Edinburgh.

You will need some experience in managing volunteers or within HR and need to be very hands on, approachable with a bubbly type of character.
