We are looking for a volunteer to join us at Unlock YOUR Potential in the volunteer role of ADMIN MANAGER (Remote), where you will lead on Unlock YOUR Potential's Admin and Service Support aspects and function, ensuring a smooth running organisation.

Role Overview:

As the Volunteer, Admin Manager, you will play a crucial role in setting up and managing our admin function and resources, with a focus on supporting the smooth running of Unlock YOUR Potential, especially in admin, logistics and corporate services. This is a remote position, with meetings done via telephone or online via Zoom or other platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Setting Up the Admin Department: Establish Admin systems and processes tailored to a startup charity.
2. Ensure compliance with legal requirements.
3. Supporting and welcoming new team members and manage their transition, including setting up admin systems and proccesses relevant for the team member(s).
4. Develop and implement Admin policies and procedures and address team members’ queries related to Admin, logistics and processes and policies.
5. Organise meetings, interviews, recruitment and other important activites, providing full wrap around support for that activity.
6. Drive admin strategy in alignment with our overall mission.
7. Contribute to organisational success through effective admin practices.
8. Other duties required of a Admin Manager.

Our Policy Team use expert knowledge and the latest research to develop evidence informed documents for use by Trust staff. These include:

• Position Statement – A concise, evidence-informed document which clearly sets out

YWT’s position on either a current contentious or important issue, including any ‘red

lines’, areas where we actively practice ambiguity or diplomacy, or a strategic priority.

• Line to take – This may be a shortened version of a Position statement which has been

adapted for a specific public audience, or it might be a stand-alone statement that has

been developed to react to an issue/opportunity that has arisen.

• Policy – A document that provides guidelines that outline and guide actions, acceptable

methods or behaviours in respect to YWT’s work. Policies are applicable to the entire

organisation and are primarily intended to set direction.

• Guidance document – A clear and informed document which aims to support and advise

the intended audience (e.g. YWT staff, Trustees, and our partners) about how we will

undertake our work. For example, this document may set out a code of practice for a

particular approach to wildlife management.

We're looking for a volunteer with:

• Excellent organisation and research skills.
• Motivated and dedicated to ensuring information is accurate and evidence based.
• Good communicator.
• Efficient at using Microsoft Word and email.
• Existing knowledge of policy development would be helpful but not essential as a full induction will be provided.

Access to a computer or laptop at home with good internet connection is desirable but not essential

Borderline Support UK CIC are a small non-profit organisation made up entirely of volunteers. We work to support people with borderline personality disorder through peer support groups, signposting, and more.

What will you do?
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our project team to transcribe audio recordings related to the WRAC project. You'll ensure accuracy and clarity in the transcripts, contributing to the accessibility of these invaluable stories. Your responsibilities may also include prioritising transcription tasks and maintaining the integrity of the original recordings.

What are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will possess excellent listening and typing skills, with a great attention to detail. While experience with transcription tools is preferred, it's not required. An interest in, knowledge of, or eagerness to learn about British history would be advantageous.
