Job description

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the delivery of group work sessions to clients who have experienced domestic abuse. This role is a fantastic way to get involved directly with small groups of participants and to help them move forward with their lives.

NDAS runs a variety of group work programmes designed to support both male and female victims of domestic abuse, as well as a programme dedicated to perpetrator awareness. This voluntary role will help support the delivery of these programmes and will work alongside the facilitator, providing support and organisation skills.

Programmes run both daytime and evenings for a 10 week session. Volunteers would need to be available for one 2.5-3 hour session, on a regular basis, on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between 9:45am – 12:15pm or 6:45pm – 9:15pm.

No prior knowledge is needed as all training is provided. You'll also receive ongoing support from your volunteer mentor and regular check-ins with our volunteer co-ordinator.
