As a Event Physician Associate volunteer, you’ll help St John Ambulance provide first aid at large and small events within the community. You’ll be part of a team of volunteers delivering help where it’s needed, dealing with everything from a sprained ankle to a cardiac arrest.
The experience you gain could lead to more advanced roles, including patient transport, cycle response, advanced first aid and emergency response. You’ll make a real difference to your community and have a huge impact on the nation’s health.
You’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.
We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. Please note this vacancy is for those wishing to volunteer within one of our Surrey Networks at one of the following locations: Epsom; Farnborough, Guildford; Redhill or Weybridge
Volunteer locations: Epsom and Mole Valley Network - Epsom; Rushmoor and South West Surrey Network- Farnborough, Guildford, Working and Cranleigh Network - Guildford; East Surrey Network - Redhill or North West Surrey - Weybridge
Selection for role will be held over Microsoft Teams or face to face.
If you are successful you will need to undertake induction & training for role; Welcome and Induction events will depend on the date ad location of new volunteers. Training for role will depend on the needs of the new volunteers and will be discussed during their professional discussion post recruitment
