To guide this journey, we are seeking a Charity Director — our senior volunteer leader who will steer SUNSHINE with vision, compassion, and strategic clarity. You will report directly to the Board of Trustees and play a defining role in shaping the future of our organisation.

What You’ll Lead

As our Charity Director, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership, ensuring SUNSHINE grows with clarity, purpose, and strong governance.

• Guide and support volunteer managers, helping them thrive in their roles.

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring smooth, ethical, and effective delivery of our mission.

• Work closely with the Board of Trustees, offering insight, updates, and strategic recommendations.

• Champion SUNSHINE’s culture, ensuring warmth, dignity, and community remain at the heart of everything we do.

• Represent SUNSHINE externally, building partnerships and raising our profile.

• Drive organisational development, helping us become a resilient, impactful, and inspiring charity.

• Ensure compliance and best practice, supporting the Board in meeting Charity Commission standards.
