Become our Founding Service & Programme Development Manager - Approx. 3–6 hours per week | Flexible | Foundational and strategic role

Design the Pathway to Connection, Healing & Joy

SUNSHINE is a brand-new, all-volunteer start-up charity with a simple yet powerful mission: to combat loneliness through uplifting services that bring joy, connection, and community to every person we reach. As we prepare for launch, we’re looking for someone extraordinary to lead on one of our most vital areas — service design and development.

This role isn’t just about creating programmes. It’s about creating possibilities.

We’re seeking a purpose-driven Service & Programme Development Manager to turn vision into reality — crafting support systems that make people feel seen, valued, and included.

What You’ll Do

As our lead architect of services, you’ll shape and develop what SUNSHINE actually does. You’ll be the bridge between big ideas and everyday impact. Your role includes:

  • Designing services from scratch — whether that’s befriending, wellbeing programmes, events, or community partnerships.

  • Understanding community needs — using feedback and insight to ensure relevance and reach.

  • Embedding compassion in delivery — creating programmes that are human, hopeful, and healing.

  • Collaborating with other leads — ensuring services align with our values, branding, and volunteer capacity.

  • Planning for scalability — building models that grow with the charity.

Whether it’s a one-to-one connection or a city-wide initiative, you’ll be guiding how SUNSHINE delivers its magic.
