About SUNSHINE Charity

SUNSHINE is a new, 100% volunteer-powered movement rewriting the story of loneliness and wellbeing in London. We exist to spark joy, nurture belonging, and create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. Our work is bold, people-powered, and rooted in community spirit—not corporate jargon.

We’re almost ready to launch. Our charity status is imminent, our foundations are strong, and our first pilot programmes are on the horizon.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for our founding Volunteer Loneliness Campaigns Manager—a creative, energetic, community‑minded leader who can turn the issue of loneliness into a powerful, hopeful, city‑wide movement.

…then this role is the heartbeat of our public movement.

You’ll be our chief campaign designer, champion, and connector—leading the charge on awareness, mobilisation, and community engagement. You’ll help create the buzz, energy, and visibility that makes people want to join, volunteer, donate, and take part.

What You’ll Lead

• Campaign Design & Delivery: Create bold, joyful, high‑energy campaigns that raise awareness of loneliness and inspire people to take action.

• Movement Building: Mobilise volunteers, communities, and partners to join our campaigns and help spread SUNSHINE across London and beyond.

• Public Engagement: Lead city-wide moments—events, activations, outreach days, social campaigns—that bring people together and spark conversation.

• Storytelling for Change: Work closely with our Brand & Communications team to share real stories of connection, hope, and impact.

• Partnerships & Collaboration: Build relationships with local groups, community organisations, and businesses who want to champion our mission.

• Energy & Buzz: Create excitement around our work—helping SUNSHINE feel like a movement people want to be part of.

• Impact & Learning: Capture insights, stories, and feedback to help us understand what’s working and how our campaigns are changing lives.

Ideally, You Will Bring

• Experience in campaigns, community organising, public engagement, activism, or communications.

• A natural ability to energise people and bring them together around a shared cause.

• Creativity, confidence, and a love for designing experiences that feel joyful and accessible.

• Strong organisational skills and a people-first mindset.

• A genuine passion for tackling loneliness and improving wellbeing in our communities.

Commitment & Flexibility

This is a voluntary role with no fixed hours. We understand life comes first—your time and energy are gifts, and we’ll always work around your schedule. You can step back or stop volunteering at any time.
