Who They Are

Restart in Business is an organisation dedicated to helping individuals with experience of the criminal justice system build sustainable self-employment opportunities and reduce reoffending. Drawing on lived experience in both rehabilitation and business, the organisation delivers group programmes and provides up to two years of ongoing support from experienced business coaches.

The Role

As Restart in Business moves towards completing the formation of its charitable organisation and registering with the Charity Commission, it is seeking trustees who share a passion for reducing reoffending and supporting individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system to create positive, independent futures through self-employment.

Trustees will play a key role in guiding the charity’s strategic direction, ensuring strong governance, accountability, and long-term sustainability. The organisation is particularly interested in individuals with expertise in business development, finance, fundraising, marketing, or the criminal justice and rehabilitation sectors.
