Location: Remote
Hours: Flexible
Type: Volunteer Leadership & Operations Role
Help Build the Operational Heartbeat of a Charity That Changes Lives
Unlock YOUR Potential is an ambitious adult social mobility charity dedicated to supporting people from deprived communities to gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to transform their lives. Through programmes in employability, personal development, wellbeing, and life skills, we empower adults to break cycles of disadvantage and step into brighter futures.
As we grow, we are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and mission‑driven Executive Assistant / Office Manager to support our Founder and ensure the charity runs smoothly day‑to‑day. Your work will help build the administrative foundations, systems, and tools that allow our mission to flourish.
Your support will directly enable people who deserve a second chance at success.
The Role: Volunteer Executive Assistant / Office Manager
This is a vital operational role at the centre of the charity. You will work closely with the Founder to manage key administrative functions, streamline processes, and ensure the organisation has the structure, tools, and resources it needs to operate effectively.
You will be the person who keeps everything moving — creating order, clarity, and efficiency across the charity.
What You’ll Do
-
Provide executive support to the Founder, including diary management, scheduling, and coordination.
-
Develop and maintain administrative systems, processes, and documentation.
-
Manage inboxes, communications, and internal information flow.
-
Support volunteer onboarding, record‑keeping, and internal organisation.
-
Maintain digital filing systems, shared drives, and operational tools.
-
Assist with project coordination, meeting preparation, and follow‑up actions.
-
Help ensure the charity has the resources, templates, and processes needed to function smoothly.
-
Support the implementation of new tools, platforms, and operational improvements.
-
Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and strong organisational governance.
-
Act as a calm, reliable, and solutions‑focused partner to the Founder.
What You’ll Bring
We welcome applicants from a wide range of professional backgrounds. You do not need charity experience — just strong organisational skills and a commitment to helping a mission‑driven organisation thrive.
You will bring:
-
Experience in administration, executive support, office management, or operations.
-
Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
-
Confidence using digital tools, platforms, and cloud‑based systems.

The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
-
Integrity, reliability, and a commitment to supporting a charity with heart and purpose.
-
A passion for social mobility, equality, and empowering adults to thrive.
What You’ll Gain
-
A central operational role shaping the foundations of a growing national‑ambition charity.
-
Experience supporting a Founder and contributing to strategic organisational development.
-
The opportunity to build systems and processes that will support long‑term impact.
-
Flexible volunteering that fits around your life and commitments.
