The Role: Volunteer Head of Business Development & Operations

This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who wants to make a tangible difference. You will help build the foundations of a national charity, guiding both our growth strategy and our day‑to‑day operational systems.

You will work closely with the Founder to develop partnerships, secure opportunities, strengthen internal processes, and ensure our programmes reach the people who need them most.

What You’ll Do

• Lead on business development strategy to grow our reach, partnerships, and funding opportunities.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with employers, training providers, community organisations, and supporters.

• Develop operational systems that ensure our programmes run smoothly, safely, and effectively.

• Support the creation of sustainable income streams, including grants, corporate partnerships, and social value opportunities.

• Build internal processes for volunteer management, programme delivery, and organisational governance.

• Work collaboratively with the Founder to shape the long‑term vision and infrastructure of the charity.

• Help position Unlock YOUR Potential as a trusted, empowering force for adult social mobility across the UK.
