Volunteer Fundraising and Marketing Manager

The Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Fundraising & Marketing Manager to help us grow our income, strengthen partnerships, expand our fundraising campaigns and ensure our services reach more young people in need. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our fundraising strategy - working closely with the Board of Trustees - you will contribute to our strategic direction goals and organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Partnerships

·       Shape and execute a fundraising strategy that drives sustainable income.

·       Secure grants, trust funding, and corporate partnerships.

·       Build and nurture strong relationships with donors and supporters.

·       Identify new funding prospects, including high-net-worth individuals.

·       Lead community fundraising campaign events.

·       Maintain good governance and compliance across fundraising activities.

Marketing & Communications

 ·       Develop communications materials and messaging that showcase our impact.

·       Maintain and refresh website content (working with our Website Coordinator)

·       Manage and create social media content to promote programmes and events

·       Lead on event promotion, marketing campaigns and audience engagement.

 Person Specification

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Experience or emerging capability in fundraising, bid development, or donor management.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• A proactive, creative and solutions-oriented approach.
• Passion for improving the education of young people.
• Experience using social media for corporate and charity communications
• Passion for widening educational access for young people.
• Experience in marketing, corporate communications and similar disciplines s highly desirable.
• (Optional/bonus) Interest in youth development and/or international development.

We have previously delivered major gala fundraising events and are planning our next large-scale fundraiser in 2027- marking our 10 years anniversary. This role is instrumental in helping us grow with purpose and sustainability.
