Fundraising Assistant

Role Overview:
Village Solar is looking for a volunteer to support our fundraising efforts and help ensure the success of our community solar projects. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact. We are looking for someone who communicates thoughtfully, understands the context in which we work, and is able to support a small, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and coordinating fundraising campaigns and events
• Help identify potential donors, partners, and sponsors
• Support donor communications and follow-ups
• Keep simple records of fundraising activities and contributions
• Collaborate closely with the fundraising and leadership teams
• Contribute ideas and support to enhance fundraising strategies

Skills and Experience:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable reaching out to potential supporters and partners
• Well organized and able to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills: approachable, collaborative, and down to earth
• Works well with others and is able to support a small team effectively
