HEKIMA
HEKIMA is a Tanzanian organization committed to promoting children’s rights and ensuring the well-being of young people, guided by the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The organization focuses on some of the most pressing issues affecting vulnerable children, including street children, child labor, and child trafficking. By addressing these challenges, HEKIMA works to create safer environments where children can thrive, access opportunities, and live free from violence and exploitation.
Their approach centers on building community accountability, empowering children and youth to advocate for their rights, and strengthening child protection systems to provide long-term solutions. HEKIMA not only provides support to those most at risk but also fosters awareness and systemic change to prevent exploitation from occurring in the first place. Volunteers and supporters are welcomed to contribute their skills and open-mindedness, joining a small but impactful organization dedicated to protecting and uplifting children and youth.
