We are currently seeking a passionate and proactive Volunteer Director of Fundraising to help secure essential funding through grant writing and creative fundraising strategies. This role is key to helping us sustain and expand our therapeutic services.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify suitable grant opportunities, trust funds, and community funding streams.

• Write compelling, values-aligned funding proposals and grant applications.

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy aligned with Brave Core’s mission and goals.

• Build relationships with potential funders, sponsors, and supporters.

• Explore and implement other fundraising avenues (e.g. crowdfunding campaigns, donor outreach).

• Keep accurate records of applications submitted and track outcomes.

• Stay informed about developments in the mental health charity funding landscape.

Requirements

• Experience in fundraising, bid writing, or grant applications is highly desirable, but not essential—we welcome motivated learners.

• Strong writing and research skills with attention to clarity, tone, and impact.

• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage deadlines effectively.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

• Alignment with Brave Core’s values of compassion, inclusivity, and integrity.

• A genuine interest in mental health, counselling, or community-based support work.

St John Ambulance is a charity, and our fundraising is vital in supporting our mission to place the power of first aid in everyone’s hands.

Through organising and supporting fundraising in your area, you will bring people along to our cause, growing our membership and fundraising base and spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives.

Our vision is that everyone receives the help they need in a health crisis from those around them. We will achieve that by putting first aid at the heart of every community.​As a Fundraising Lead, you will coordinate the activity of a group of dedicated volunteers to achieve fundraising goals and support the work of St John Ambulance. Other aspects of the role include- coordinating and leading fundraising activity with your team, leading or supporting the recruitment of fundraising volunteers, supporting the promotion of local, regional and national fundraising campaigns and activities and working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager

With this new role, you simply volunteer when it works for you. That means you can give as much time as you like or as little as 24 hours across a whole year, whenever it suits you. It’s perfect for busy lives, and changing schedules

The Fundraising Lead provides an easy way to stay connected and contribute meaningfully to your local community. Through volunteering you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.

Once we have completed your selection and screening for this role, we will provide you with an induction, as well as invite you to any necessary training sessions. A bit about this role

Across the UK, our volunteer groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS, bringing people together and connecting our local MS communities.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll provide much-needed help looking after fundraising relationships, and with fundraising activities and events. Join the Board of Bristol Historic Buildings Trust - help fund the restoration of a Bristol landmark

Bristol Historic Buildings Trust (BHBT) is seeking a new Trustee with fundraising experience to help us bring Ashton Court Mansion back to life.

Ashton Court Mansion is a Grade I listed manor house with origins in the 14th century, set within an 850-acre estate on the edge of Bristol. Around three quarters of the building remains derelict. We are working with Bristol City Council to take a 125-year lease and regenerate the Mansion as a living civic place where heritage, creativity and public life meet.

We are already in the building under a tenancy at will, have refurbished the first rooms and begun taking event bookings. We are converting to a Charitable Community Benefit Society and preparing to launch a Community Share Offer shortly. Beyond that sits the long-term restoration itself - a phased, grant-led programme of significant scale, requiring a sustained major grants pipeline and a matching campaign alongside it.

Our vision is a building that works as a place of celebration, incubation and education, programmed around five areas: food, culture and arts, skills, nature and outdoors, and heritage.

We need a trustee with significant fundraising experience, who can help achieve our vision for ACM and who can help the Board build the capability to do it repeatedly.

What we are looking for (some, not all, of the following)

•Experience of major capital fundraising, ideally in heritage, culture or the built environment

•A track record with major grant funders - National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England, Historic England, trusts and foundations

•Major gifts and high-net-worth donor cultivation

•Corporate partnerships and business sponsorship

•Individual giving, regular giving and membership schemes

•Experience shaping a compelling case for support and holding an organisation to a fundraising strategy and pipeline

What the role involves

•Bringing fundraising challenge and expertise to Board discussions, and helping set realistic targets

•Supporting the development of our grant pipeline, major donor strategy and supporter programmes

•Opening doors where you can, and representing the Trust to funders and supporters

•4 quarterly board meetings per year (March, June, September, December), approx. 2 hours each

•An annual strategy day

•Additional involvement as your skills allow - fundraising, stakeholder meetings, representing the charity at events

•Terms of up to 3 years (renewable)

•The role is unremunerated; reasonable expenses are reimbursed

This fundraising role is enjoyable, very varied and could involve tasks such as:

· Helping out on a stall for a few hours at a fair.

· Raising awareness of HOLG at corporate/commercial partner events.

· Helping out on one of our social fundraisers such as quiz nights, theatre nights, concerts etc.

· Running a raffle or tombola.

· Being an ambassador to raise awareness to the work of HOLG.

· Prepare, set up and take down for events (including gazebos, etc).

The list is not exhaustive and will often depend on what fundraising opportunities we have through the year!

We are also keen to establish a team of helpers to identify locations and distribute and manage our collections boxes at restaurants, shops, pubs, leisure centres – indeed, anywhere that would be willing to host!

Support Our Fundraising Team & Give Back to Your Community

Do you enjoy driving and have a few spare hours each week? We’re looking for friendly, reliable Volunteer Drivers to help our fundraising team by delivering parcels to local post offices or parcel drop-off points. If you have your own car and want to support a great cause, we’d love to hear from you!

At Together Trust, we support children, young people, and adults with disabilities, autism, and mental health differences. Every parcel you help deliver plays a part in raising vital funds for our work — and you’ll be directly contributing to positive change in your community.

What you will be doing:

- Collecting parcels from our offices or storage sites
- Dropping off at local post offices or designated courier collection points
- Supporting our fundraising efforts behind the scenes – every parcel helps fund our vital services!
- Using your own vehicle (don’t worry – we reimburse your mileage!)

The skills you need:

- Full UK driving licence
- We will do a DVLA check on your driving record
