About the role:
This role will be based in a safe house in Bristol, with some travel required around the Bristol area.
As an IDVA supporting male victims & survivors you will:
- Contact, identify & assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims
- Manage a caseload of victims of domestic abuse
- Work with local agencies & partners whose services victims may require, such as housing, social services and health providers.
- Maintain accurate & confidential case management records
- Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.
- Provide housing management welcoming new residents, ensuring a supportive, homely and safe environment, complete sign up paperwork & assist with welfare benefits claims, responsible for collection of rent & minimising arrears, ensure rooms are re-let in a timely manner
- Facilitate house meetings encouraging men to participate and to contribute to decisions affecting the management of the houses
You will need:
- An excellent and thorough understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on victims and children and the legal and practical remedies available to these clients.
- An understanding of the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
- Experience of direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.

About the role:
This role is home and office based, with travel throughout London. As a Male Independent Domestic Violence Advisor- Housing Specialist you will: -
- Ensure that male survivors' safety and housing needs are met.
- Provide specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis.
- Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation.
- Ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children
You will need:
- A good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Have a good understanding of Housing Law to be able to provide up to date advice and information to victims of domestic abuse on housing related needs

- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

About the role:
This role is based at Preston. After six months probation you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.
As a IDVA you will be:
- Focusing on victims at high risk of harm & will provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.

EERC is seeking a Polish-speaking Welfare Adviser to join our team. This role is full time for a fixed term of one year.
This role will provide important support to our clients. The main duties will be:
- Outreach and information to Eastern Europeans in the UK.
- Advice and casework around welfare benefits and housing applications.
The ideal candidate would have some experience in assessing and supporting users to apply for welfare benefits. Please state your experience in this and other advice areas.
EERC is open to appointing a Welfare Assistant, Welfare Adviser, or Senior Welfare Adviser depending on the level of experience and skills. The job description given is for a Welfare Adviser. A Welfare Assistant would have less responsibility and a Senior Adviser would have more responsibility including complex casework and supervision.
This job can be done entirely from our office or in a hybrid between office and work from home. EERC is well set up to facilitate safely seeing clients in the office as well as working remotely.

Trust House Reading is a dedicated support service for those who have experienced sexual violence. We provide specialist support to women, men and children affected by rape and sexual abuse either recently or in the past and for people who support them including family and friends.
We are looking for a Children’s Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ChISVA) to provide advocacy and support to children and young people (up to the age of 17) and their families who have been victims of sexual violence including child sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation.
The role:
Our ChISVA service was launched in 2018 to support children and young people (aged 4 to 17 years) and their families who have been affected by rape, sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation across Berkshire. The ChISVA will support young victims who have reported or are wishing to report this crime navigate the criminal justice system. They will work closely with the Police Service, Sexual Assault Referral Centre, CPS, and other relevant organisations.
The role will involve extensive travel across the Thames Valley, working with clients in schools as well as other professional locations.
Supervision and ongoing support will be provided.
