About this job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Partnerships team, based in London, with flexibility to work from home. You’ll be part of a growing, supportive and ambitious team, raising significant income to support people living with and affected by MS.

You’ll work collaboratively with the Corporate Partnerships team, internal and external stakeholders, to identify mutually beneficial new business opportunities building a healthy and robust prospect pipeline.

You will be leading on the successful delivery of these partnerships to maximise their life-time potential and ensure they are delivering against financial and non-financial objectives. These partnerships will generate income for our Services and Support projects as well as our exciting Stop MS Appeal; the MS Society’s ten year research-focused national appeal.

You’ll have an affinity for building strong relationships and successful partnerships, great attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. With a creative, logical and enthusiastic approach, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting events, develop compelling proposals and innovative fundraising initiatives.

This is a great opportunity to build on your existing experience within corporate fundraising.

Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Delivering income at or above the agreed budget level from corporate relationships and activities as agreed within the annual budget and business plan
• To lead on identifying and securing new business and establish a strong pipeline of prospective corporate partners, that will deliver six figure income targets year on year
• Maximise the fundraising potential of high value existing partnerships through taking responsibility for specific projects.
• Relationship management and pipeline development of corporate partners, delivering agreed objectives and expectations
• To contribute to the overall income generation and implementation of the Corporate Partnership team’s objectives
• To contribute to a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are valued and staff are enabled to do their best

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The post will work to maximise potential and develop both new and existing donors, through targeted donor development campaigns, supporter acquisition and retention programmes.

The post holder will work flexibly across the Individual Giving income streams including individual donations, campaigns, gifts in memory and legacies. As part of this, a key responsibility will be the relationship management and support to any of our supported families who choose to fundraise for SSCH. This role will also support with legacy administration.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience within a fundraising or comparable role. Ideally the candidate will have some legacy administration experience.

As an Immigration Lawyer/ Immigration Caseworker Supervisor in the UK Legal Team, you will run a caseload of complex family reunion entry clearance applications and appeals, you will also supervise cases of colleagues and pro bono solicitors and volunteers, if appropriate. You will be supported by colleagues in the UK Legal team and work in close collaboration with colleagues in SPI France and Greece as well as with professionals in relevant external organisations.

You will be determined and committed to delivery high quality legal casework supporting asylum seeking children to reunite with family members in the UK. You will be attentive to detail, flexible, efficient and able to work independently and under supervision as part of a small and dynamic team. What's the job?

Working under the direction of the Education Development and Communities Manager, you will coordinate and develop a Course Rep scheme that accurately and legitimately represents Manchester Met students and creates positive change and supervise and support the Engagement Assistant’s throughout the year in supporting course reps and the work of other union departments within faculties.

• You will lead on the course rep recruitment plan and training, including the delivery of the lead volunteer program, maintaining a partnership approach to delivering the Course Rep scheme, through positive relationships with university stakeholders and Union colleagues
• Support the Education Development and Communities Manager with any projects, consultations or research into the academic experience at Manchester Met
• Plan, manage and evaluate educational co-creation through developing on course belonging alongside consultative representation systems. You will ensure a collaborative, effective and proactive academic representation processes are in place for the development of academic communities and Course Reps

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to help us to manage our charity.  Reporting to the CEO, you will be driven to helping us successfully support people who are visually impaired or deaf in North Somerset.  No two days will be the same, from managing the rental of our conference room to other local groups, to preparing reports and documents to send to funders, you will find the role ever changing and interesting.  A key person in the office, you will help support the work of other team members and become a valuable asset to the charity.

The Grants Officer will work as part of the Grants & Programmes Team to support organisations applying for funding each year through the Foundations grants programme.  The post holder manages important relationships with potential and current grantees, building trust and an understanding of their purpose and aims and supporting them to submit appropriate and high-quality applications for funding against the funds criteria and Foundation’s priorities. To contribute to wider initiatives, as directed by the Senior Grants Manager to ensure the Foundation maintain high standards and contribute to national data sharing and initiatives that strengthen the work and reach of the foundation. The Grants Officer will report to the Senior Grants Manager and will work closely with colleagues across the Foundation contributing to the delivery of the Foundation’s Strategic Plan, Vision and values.

Responsibilities
To undertake tasks associated with BLCF's grantmaking functions, including carrying out due diligence and assessments of grants applications (under the supervision of the Senior Grants Manager).

Process all applications within agreed timelines, working alongside Fund Leads to review and assess grant applications effectively. 

Work alongside members of the team and Data Officer to maximise use of our in-house CRM database for monitoring and impact reporting.  

Provide grant-making support and advice to potential and existing grantees on our funds and programmes, under the guidance of the Senior Grants Manager, to ensure open and transparent access to our programmes and proactively looking to address inequality and fairer access to opportunities the Foundation offers. 

Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that the Foundation achieves excellence in grant-making and all its operational aspects. 

Carry out other associated duties, which may arise, develop, or be assigned, in line with the scale and general nature of the post. 
 

Performance Management

Contribute to the production of delivery/donor reports as required to funders as requested by Senior Grants Manager. 

Work with Senior Grants Manager to agreed development areas in annual appraisal to ensure high levels of knowledge and expertise are developed that add value to the Foundation. 

Ensure appropriate levels of training are maintained and a good working understanding of the policies and procedures of the Foundation.

Relationship Management
Maintain and share our vision and values and help those who wish to work with us understand the processes and requirements we have. Listen and learn, and share the needs of communities back into the work of the Foundation to ensure we are always 'need led'.

Experience
Clear understanding of the wider voluntary and charity sector in Bedfordshire.
