This is a newly created role to support in our growth and commercialisation of our products. We are looking for a commercially minded individual who can lead on income generation for National Services.

We are at an exciting time where we have a mixture of existing offers as well as new products ready to launch, including, Autism Confidence, e-learning and our Careers Education Framework.

We have been working with employers, schools and higher education institutes for several years in the development of our Employ Autism programme, providing training and consultancy for employers and education providers as well as paid work experience for autistic young people.

You'll secure income from employers, providers and partners for our Employability and Training team through our Employ Autism programme, developing and implementing a sales plan to secure new long-term strategic partnerships with nationwide businesses.

• Sales, new business and/or experience of maintaining multiple client relationships.
• A demonstrable track record of working successfully with businesses in a development capacity to acquire and maximise relationships.
• Good knowledge of the commercial sector and employability/training services.

About the role 

As a Future Frontiers Partnerships Manager, your role is to identify, develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with organisations which work with us to enable our mission. This is key to delivering our work and making a lasting difference for young people from under-resourced backgrounds on their education and career journeys. 

The focus of the role is on building meaningful, long-term relationships with schools and/or businesses, to match young people from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds with business professionals who can provide insight into the world of work and guidance to help young people unlock their aspirations and develop the plans and skills they need to be successful. 

Our Partnerships Managers each have a focus on a priority audience, either schools or businesses, and on an activity area, either new business development or account management. The role we are currently recruiting for will have a main focus on driving new business from companies. 

Your responsibilities

The focus of each role could expand or change depending on the needs of the organisation. Current priorities and targets are reflected in each individual’s objectives for the year - these are regularly reviewed to ensure that they remain relevant and create ownership and stretch for each individual.

• Contribute to department-, directorate- and organisation-wide projects and priorities through membership of project groups or taking on pieces of work in line with your skills, experience and development objectives

• Act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, our cause and values in all engagements and communications with partners, supporters and suppliers

About you

Experience and knowledge  

• Experience in a fundraising, sales or account management role, ideally working with businesses and/or schools (essential)

• Demonstrable success in hitting and exceeding targets in a fast-paced environment (essential)

Project Background

Come and join our award-winning place-based volunteering programme that works with residents living across Hackney and the City of London.

You will be based out in the community - the programme is based at GP practices - to engage, support and enable local residents and patients to deliver local services for themselves, to meet local needs. We support residents to come together, to share their skills and experience for the benefit of each other, to deliver local groups and activities such as a book group, film club, exercise classes or cooking group. Residents from diverse backgrounds and demographics attend these activities together and make new connections, building strong local communities, all working together to make their area a better place to live. People, many of whom are isolated across all ages, and who have difficult life circumstances, are brought together, providing each other with mutual support and encouragement to develop new skills and pursue life goals, and to feel better able to voice their concerns to services.

You will be joining a nationally recognised project - having won an award from the Royal Society of Public Health in November 2024 - to support residents to fulfil their personal goals, make connections with others, and design activities and services that meet local needs. You will also be supporting people to improve their mental and physical health through signposting them to appropriate services and encouraging them to talk to their GP if they have concerns; and will be working in partnership with GP practice staff to co-create volunteer roles to make the practice more efficient and a better place to visit.

Who are we?

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a medium sized charity (currently 30 staff) based in the London borough of Hackney, working to support local residents to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others.

Our mission is to build and strengthen communities across Hackney through supporting residents of all ages and backgrounds to volunteer and build projects together.

In 2021, we were awarded the Freedom of the Borough Award by Hackney Council for our efforts to support residents during COVID, which included mobilising over 2000 volunteers to deliver food, prescriptions and essential items, provide emotional support to isolated residents and support the vaccine rollout. 

We work with hundreds of diverse community organisations and deliver various programmes to help residents share their skills and deliver their own social action projects to improve people’s lives. These include a befriending programme, volunteering brokerage matching local people to volunteer roles based on their skills, interests and goals, a specialist mental health programme, peer research and multiple resident engagement programmes at GP surgeries and estates across Hackney.

Post holders need to be enthusiastic and engaging, bringing energy to the role, be self-motivating and confident to work primarily alone, albeit with some support from the team members based at other sites.

You will have ultimate responsibility for leading on both identifying and creating a pipeline of TFL funding streams to meet our annual income target.

As the lead for the TFL team, you must be confident in your ability to communicate our case for support to your team, and to both our internal and external stakeholders, ensuring our proposals are compelling, well thought out and deliver value and impact for both our funding partners and TCV.

We would expect you to be skilled and experienced in writing compelling funding applications and be able to critique and act as a sounding board for your teams own individual applications.

This includes long-term rough sleeping, substance use, severe and enduring mental health issues, involvement with the criminal justice system, and self-care challenges.

This is not a typical hostel service - it is a dynamic, intensive, and highly specialist environment requiring compassionate leadership, robust risk management, and strong inter-agency collaboration. You will be at the forefront of driving a psychologically informed and trauma-responsive service that not only provides accommodation, but creates a platform for meaningful recovery, connection, and progress.

As Service Manager, you will lead a skilled team in delivering high quality, person-centred support and accommodation. You’ll be responsible for staff development, operational oversight, risk management, partnership engagement, and ensuring compliance with service specifications and safeguarding standards.

Overall responsibility of the job: Sharing responsibility,for the oversight of the Foodbank processes of Bristol North West Foodbank to ensure it runs effectively, providing support for the Senior Foodbank Manager where necessary, managing staff, ensuring compliance with appropriate guidance and legislation, and carrying out public relations activities. 

Work in association with Foodbank Managers, Staff and Volunteers to ensure clients receive a streamlined service of support with food and other provisions.

About the Role

As Outreach Worker, you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a Service Manager and an Assistant Area Director. You will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

In accommodation based services, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, adhering to safeguarding, emergency procedures, and health and safety protocols.
• Hold a caseload as key worker, delivering day-to-day and personalised support, including SMART support plans and regular assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to provide holistic support, respecting data protection and partnership protocols.
• Encourage client participation in service decisions, community activities, and development opportunities such as education, training, and employment.
• Support new client move-ins, ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth transition into accommodation.
• Assist with property maintenance by conducting health and safety checks and responding to repair issues in collaboration with managers.
• Promote and support the work of volunteers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Maintain accurate records, attend meetings and training, and undertake additional duties as directed by your line manager.

About the Role

Maritime Court provides supported housing and is delivered in partnership with Karbon Homes (Landlord) and Depaul (Support Providers).  The project forms part of the North Tyneside Pathway and it is designed to support clients (16-24 year olds) who are at risk of homelessness within North Tyneside. The service users are supported to take more and more responsibility for their affairs and assess the most appropriate move-on housing for them.

PSPA is the only UK charity providing support and information to people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). These rapidly progressing neurological conditions are caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. The BDA is seeking a new Research Manager to work as part of the Education and Professional Practice Team, leading on the research and impact activities of professional dietetic practice. The role will also provide line management within the team.

The role will support the BDA’s Strategic Plan 2024-34 and lead the growth and delivery of the annual Research Symposium. The role will suit a candidate with a sound understanding and experience of the breadth of dietetic practice and research, and the factors that influence it. Working innovatively the post holder will develop and progress research within dietetic practice, building confidence in the dietetic workforce to be research active.  

 Ideal candidate:

We are looking for somebody who is an expert in research methodologies, and appraisal and is comfortable setting and influencing research strategy.  Ideally we would like somebody who has or is studying for their doctorate in dietetics and experience working in a practice setting would be advantageous. This is a senior internal and external facing role working alongside the Director of Education Practice and Research, and the Education and Practice Managers. The candidate will enjoy supporting colleagues and members to engage and deliver research related projects, and demonstrate impact through evidence-based practice.
