As Volunteering Business Partner, you'll:
- Be an advocate for volunteering, working with teams and individuals in their areas to support them in putting the volunteering vision and strategy into practice, to a consistently high standard
- build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, working as a trusted partner for volunteering advice to help them deliver high quality volunteer experiences that support Dogs Trust’s aims and objectives
- take ownership of specific Dogs Trust-wide activities such as Volunteering L&D, Policies or Communication that support the volunteering vision and strategy
- promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across Dogs Trust through sharing observations, learning and ideas across the Central Volunteering Team to enable and ensure consistent standards of volunteering across Dogs Trust
- promote the importance of volunteering metrics (for example from volunteer survey and volunteer database) and use these to spot trends, identify risks and opportunities and tailor guidance accordingly in their partnered areas.
About you
To be successful in this role you'll have experience in supporting volunteering development in organisations with a wide range of volunteer roles, with a thorough and up-to-date understanding of best practice in volunteering, current trends and relevant legislation.
You'll have a proven ability to influence, engage and empower all stakeholders from senior leaders to core, with experience of managing your own workload, with ability to take personal responsibility for progressing volunteering activities in partnered areas, taking this further and using data and metrics to make recommendations at a higher level, enabling the design and implementation of wider interventions.

The Volunteering Strategy Manager will harness the collective power of our 17,000 members and develop strategic relationships with volunteer involving organisations to advocate for a better environment for volunteering.
The role will ensure decision makers in government recognise the essential role that volunteers play and develop policy-solutions to improve the environment for volunteer-involving organisations.

You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and the links with welfare issues. You will take responsibility for the quality of support the team deliver to ensure it is robust and accountable. We hope to be able to extend our offer of support in the future so it will be important you have an interest in developing the service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership Training & Development

Oversee and continue to codify OSH’s LIT (Leaders in Training) course, including in-person and online sessions, and mentoring LITs on their first residential. This will include hands-on delivery, managing logistics, and working with volunteers and facilitators.

Support young people from refugee backgrounds to move from participants to leaders within OSH.

We're looking for an efficient, friendly Volunteer Co-ordinator to join our award-winning charity. The team is based at our busy community centre from where it offers a range of services from community meals, art classes to gardening services and digital support. Purpose of the Role
To lead on the recruitment, development, training, and well-being of a team of volunteers who deliver vital Home-Start support to families. The role involves managing a caseload of volunteers and supporting families directly where appropriate.
