Are you a creative marketer or brand specialist passionate about telling compelling stories and empowering young people? Do you want to build the voice and image of a transformative new charity?

REMIX is a dynamic new charity on a mission to "remix young lives" from disadvantaged backgrounds across London. We aim to guide, mentor, and inspire young people through positive role modelling, comprehensive personal development, and vital employability skills. We're currently in our crucial set-up phase, defining our identity and preparing to share our vision with the world.

We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer for Marketing & Brand Development to help us establish a strong, resonant brand and effectively communicate our mission. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise to a meaningful social cause, ensuring REMIX connects with young people, families, volunteers, and funders from day one.

Who We're Looking For

We need a creative and strategic individual with a flair for communication and brand building. You'll likely possess:

  • Marketing & Branding Experience: Proven experience in brand development, digital marketing, content creation, or public relations.

  • Strong Storytelling Skills: Ability to craft compelling narratives that convey impact and inspire action.

  • Content Creation Abilities: Experience with copywriting for web/social media, graphic design (even basic tools), or visual content creation (photography/video).

  • Digital Savvy: Understanding of social media platforms, website content management, and online communication strategies.

  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to help define target audiences and develop effective messaging.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively with Trustees and other volunteers to align on brand messaging and visual identity.

  • Passion for Social Change: A genuine commitment to REMIX's mission and empowering young people.

Your Role as Marketing & Brand Development Volunteer

In this vital set-up phase, you will be instrumental in:

  • Defining Brand Identity: Helping to articulate REMIX's unique voice, tone, and visual style.

  • Developing Core Messaging: Crafting key messages for our mission, vision, values, and programmes that resonate with our diverse audiences.

  • Creating Initial Marketing Assets: Assisting with the development of foundational materials such as:

    • Website content and structure.

    • Initial social media templates and content strategy.

    • Basic promotional materials (e.g., a simple flyer or presentation template).

  • Launch Communication Strategy: Helping to plan how we will introduce REMIX to the public, potential beneficiaries, and partners.

  • Digital Presence Support: Advising on early steps for establishing an effective online presence.

  • Story Collection: Thinking about how to gather compelling stories of impact once programmes begin.
