Job Purpose

Main Responsibilities
1. To directly manage a portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and customer experience in order to meet agreed income targets and KPIs and maximise income for BC.

2. Develop and prepare tailored cases for support, proposals, reports and bespoke updates and communications to donors.

3. Identify, nurture, develop and manage new and existing corporate supporters including producing and communicating inspiring funding opportunities aimed at specific organisations.

4. Negotiate and deliver partnership agreements ensuring delivery against agreed targets and a good return on investment for the charity.

5. Monitor income targets and activities for Trading and Corporate fundraising including reporting to the BC Trading Company Board.

6. In conjunction with the Digital Manager, manage BC’s website shop portals and commercial partnerships to ensure a good level of royalties, proactive marketing, and supply of ethically sourced and sustainable goods.

7. Liaise with Communications and PR Team to ensure effective promotion of corporate and business agreements and timely reporting back on campaigns.

8. Update and maintain records of all business and corporate approaches, communications and agreements on the CRM and appropriate files.

9. Advise Branch volunteers where they seek to establish business support for their activities.

10. Where required, develop and/or follow policies and procedures on due diligence, data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.

This is a great opportunity to join us as the new Chief Finance Officer. As the Depaul Group continues to experience growth and increases its impact, you’ll lead the effective financial and governance support provided by DPI to its subsidiaries. It’s important that you also have experience of current financial reporting requirements and financial management practices, including consolidated financial reporting. Strong IT skills as well as an appreciation and understanding of key HR and ICT challenges in the charity sector are desirable. We’re looking for someone possibly, but not exclusively, working in homelessness and/or international development who shows personal integrity in all they do and have a commitment and respect for our aims, objectives and values.

Role - Responsible for the development and implementation of the service communication strategy and plan, including the production and distribution of information, oversight of our online presence and development of work around AI for the benefit of the VCSE sector. Background (Summary)

Enhance is the newly funded VCSE infrastructure support service in Redcar and Cleveland made possible through the collaboration of a number of funders to fill a gap in local provision. 

Lloyds Bank Foundation, Rank Foundation, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Tees Foundation and the Woodsmith Foundation have provided three years of funding and commissioned MVDA to develop and deliver a VCSE infrastructure service (Enhance) in Redcar and Cleveland.

Enhance will provide practical support to VCSE organisations based in the Redcar and Cleveland area who deliver services to local people and communities. 

The service model for Enhance is based on three key areas:

Improvement – Providing practical support through an information and advice service.  This will include for example advice on governance, funding, policy and practice

Growth - The development and delivery of a comprehensive training programme for all VCSEs in Redcar and Cleveland

Influence - Work to support the building and development of relationships; collaborative work across the VCSE sector and cross-sector partnerships

The service will be based in Redcar and Cleveland and will provide an outreach service in the more rural areas of the borough to ensure the services are accessible to all local VCSEs.

About the role

University Access Officers are responsible for delivering The Access Project’s high impact mentoring programme to students across our partner schools. This role works with a caseload of students supporting them from the start of Year 10 up to the end of Year 11 to understand the pathway to a top university. 

The role also involves project coordination, working with our schools, volunteers and teams across The Access Project to ensure our young people are fully supported and have the best possible chance of achieving social mobility and enhancing their future prospects.

This role is for a University Access Officer to work across one school., Shirebrook Academy. Our schools are shown on a map on our website.

Role responsibilities

• Work directly with young people mentoring a caseload of students in a professional and safe manner.
• Deliver our University Readiness programme through in-depth, targeted 1:1 mentoring sessions with Year 10 to Year 11 students.
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful sixth form applications.
• Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme.
• Match students with volunteer tutors.
• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance.
• Monitor the impact of tutorials and intervene as appropriate.
• Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
• Manage tutor attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring systems
• Lead on quality assurance of tuition pairings completing a caseload of drop ins. 
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
• Direct enrolled students to appropriate wider enrichment opportunities, encouraging both extra and super-curricular participation and reflection.
• Work with Enrichment & Events team and partner schools to deliver school trips to universities, including trip logistics and leading groups of young people on trip days.
• Lead on all student facing comms.
• Send regular summary updates to school as their key point of contact.
• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.

You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There are opportunities for progression, including several additional responsibility roles which are available for UAOs to apply for once they have completed their probationary period successfully.

We’re looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy team, which is responsible for raising significant income from individuals, trusts, and foundations. 

More about the role 

This role is central to the success of our mid-value giving programme. You’ll manage your own portfolio of loyal and engaged donors, many of whom have long-standing relationships with the charity, delivering a thoughtful and well-structured programme of stewardship and fundraising communications throughout the year. Your work will ensure strong donor retention and help grow our supporter base by identifying and converting new prospects. 

You’ll also play a key role in supporting the wider Philanthropy team by providing high-quality administrative and operational support. This includes income processing, accurate donor data management, and supporting compliance with data protection policies and fundraising best practice 

Key responsibilities: 

• Develop and deliver a year-round stewardship and fundraising programme for mid-value individual donors 

• Manage your own donor portfolio, responding to enquiries and building strong, personal relationships 

• Coordinate key stewardship activities such as donor mailings, seasonal communications, and bespoke events 

• Work with Individual Giving and Legacy teams to identify new prospects and support integrated donor journeys 

• Accurately process and acknowledge all gifts, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation 

• Contribute to the development of stewardship materials and processes that enhance the donor experience

About you 

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-focused Philanthropy Officer (Mid-Value Individuals) who brings a blend of creativity, organisation, and professionalism to their work. You’ll be someone who thrives in a dynamic team environment while also building strong relationships across departments. 

You’ll have experience in individual giving or major donor fundraising and a natural flair for persuasive, engaging writing. With a curious mindset and a tenacious approach, you’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and working with a high degree of discretion and care—especially when handling donor data and confidential information. 

This role requires someone who is confident with CRM systems and data analysis, and who understands the importance of compliance and best practice in donor stewardship. 

You’ll also be expected to deliver against clear KPIs and actively demonstrate the Blue Cross values in everything you do. 

Knowledge, skills, and experience   

• Understanding of Individual Giving and/or Major Donor fundraising principles 

• Excellent written communication skills, with a flair for creating compelling fundraising and stewardship materials 

• Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) 

• Experience using CRM systems or databases 

• Ability to run reports and analyse data effectively 

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across teams 

• Strong time management skills and attention to detail, even under pressure 

A bonus if you have:  

• Experience managing administrative or operational processes 

• Previous experience working in an animal welfare or charitable organisation
