Main duties of the job

No two days in our team are the same. This role will be based onsite in the office in Bath, with some opportunities to work flexibly.  You will have a varied role which involves managing a wide range of duties and tasks, including.

• Supporting the Head of Operations with administrative, finance, compliance, and governance tasks.
• Leading internal processes, including banking and financial processes, supplier relationships, and documentation.
• Helping maintain accurate financial records and managing charity databases and systems.
• Data management, analysis, segmentation and reporting to drive strategic decision-making across the RUHX team.
• Helping embed good financial and data practices that support our values and enhance our culture

Knowledge

• Two years’ experience in charity operations, including financial systems, accounts and CRM databases
• Experience using accounting software and producing complex regular income and expenditure reports to inform the wider charity teams on progress and performance against plans.
• Demonstrable experience using and administrating a charity CRM to a high level to deliver insights and reporting to the broader organisation.
• Experience in delivering training on finance and CRM systems to colleagues.
• Experience in customer care and delivering customer-facing support on the phone, in person and via email.
• Ability to interpret and implement with minimal guidance, legislation surrounding SORP and Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice, regulations and best practice.

About the opportunity

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance. 
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. 
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. 
• Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. 
• Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.

The successful candidate will join our fast-paced and motivated team to deliver highly engaging short form video content for social media, digital adverts, website and events. Your content will build and push the Sense brand, increase understanding of the challenges faced by disabled people with complex needs, help those affected to live full and meaningful lives, inspire people to fundraise and take action, and communicate the impact of Sense’s work through engaging and compelling storytelling. In this hands-on role you will be responsible for all aspects of video production, including creative development, logistics and planning, directing, filming, conducting interviews and all elements of post-production, requiring strong organisation and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time. 

You’ll spend a lot of time out on location capturing authentic moments and voices, translating them into compelling and engaging video content.  One day you might be at our services meeting the people we support, and another you might be at a fundraising or campaigning event.

• Experience in all aspects of shooting and producing a high standard of digital first short form video content for external audiences either in an agency or in-house.
• Strong experience in creating video edits for social media (including TikTok), with demonstrable understanding and knowledge of optimal formats and tactics for different channels and platforms.
• Experience in fast-paced short (and medium-length) content, aiming for a fast turnaround.
• Experience in developing strong creative content ideas to deliver against content strategies.
• A strong understanding of and experience in crafting engaging and impactful storytelling video content.

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting
processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities. To be successful in the role, you must have
excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, demonstrate strong organisational and
administrative skills, and ideally have experience working with colleagues from different cultural
backgrounds.

The initial focus of the role will be monitoring and reporting in relation to the implementation of a Big 6
EU funded programme, the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF). This programme focuses on supporting
youth-led initiatives, giving young people the means to be effective agents of change. The YEF is global
in its reach but will focus on supporting local solutions and grassroots initiatives that young people
develop on the ground. The Officer will play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager to maintain and
grow Big 6 advocacy and partnerships for the short and long-term. This role will also work closely with
colleagues from the Operations and Finance team to ensure accurate information is delivered to key
stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

Youth Empowerment Fund (60%):

• Support the monitoring and reporting of the EU funded YEF programme. Including coordinationwithin the IAF and with the Big 6 designated leads.
• Communicating with and activating networks of national organizations to participate in the YEF,including sharing opportunities to take part in Big 6 advocacy activities and applying for youthled solutions open-call Local Solutions grants.
• Issuing of grants to successful national organizations and monitoring and evaluation, including regular reporting on outcomes and impact of national projects to the YEF project team.
• Sharing success stories from the YEF to support the Big 6 communication, storytelling and creative reporting efforts.

Other Grant based support (40%):

• Oversee grant-giving financial processes, creating and issuing of grant payments.
• Support the Senior Operations Manager with the reporting of grant activities for Senior Management and various stakeholders.
• Support the ongoing development of other Foundation grant reporting efforts as required.
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required for the successful delivery of the Foundation’s business objectives.

Hillside is looking for a part time Caseworker to join the Mental Health Recovery Team which supports Islington residents with:

• Person-centred, coproduced and trauma informed recovery-focused interventions.
• Promotes independence and self-management for members
• Delivers a wraparound service in partnership with local authority, statutory agencies and community partners.
• Ensures members ‘involvement in active volunteering and coproduced activities, service planning and reviews

Main responsibilities:

• Motivate, lead and encourage member participation at all levels of responsibility, working alongside members to complete tasks.

• To work as a member of Hillside Team to deliver outcomes for the Recovery Programme
• To keep systems and database up to date with members ‘information
• To provide information and support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments and deal with safeguarding concerns promptly and in line with Safeguarding protocols and procedures.
• To offer information and support to members regarding their mental health, and signposting to appropriate organisation for issues concerning housing, benefits and any legal matters

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Experience in direct support work with adults with mental health diagnosis or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support (one year minimum)

With support from our Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team, you will play a vital role by creating, managing and optimising our digital communications, including the development, execution and measurement of email mailshots and campaigns, our social media channels and our website. 

You will be comfortable planning and devising email and social media content ideas, designing creative assets, writing sharp, engaging social media copy, and helping colleagues to grow their own social media presence.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as an Individual Giving Officer developing and delivering our individual giving programme for regular giver, and cash donors.

An exciting and varied role, as the Individual Giving Officer, you will focus on the development of fundraising copy and creative, to thank donors, and to ask donors.This role will develop and deliver fundraising appeals, factoring in historic performance, testing and working with external agencies.  

 Regular travel expected to our hub/office based in Bristol, normally once a week.

About you

You’ll be excited by developing fundraising design and copy to thank, steward and ask donors to support Sustrans.

You may have prior experience in a fundraising, marketing or general project management role. Including working to collate, and/or produce content for multiple channels, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with others to reach successful outcomes.

You may have experience working with external agencies, as well as using direct mail and telephone outreach to engage supporters and drive fundraising efforts.

You will demonstrate attention to detail, with strong skills in record-keeping, data entry and analysis. You’ll have some understanding of fundraising principles, and approaches.
