What does ‘NEUROMANCE’ mean?

To NEUROMANCE means to 'fall in love with divergence'.

The mainstream healthcare system fails our community by labelling neurodivergent+ people 'defective' and 'disordered'. 

NEUROMANCERS seek to provide an alternative. Instead, we fall in love with divergence. Our traits are neither 'curses' nor 'superpowers'. We are simply people surviving a society that oppresses and excludes us in the best ways we know how.

What is ‘neurodivergent’?

Neurodivergent means 'to diverge from the expectations of neuronormativity'. We use the term neurodivergent+ to include those under and adjacent to the neurodivergent umbrella.

NEUROMANCERS work centres neurodivergent individuals, with particular emphasis on those who are also Black and/or LGBTQ+. 

We know that many people who are severely impacted by neuronormativity and ableism may not specifically identify as neurodivergent. Therefore, our term neurodivergent+ acknowledges these extended and adjacent groups.

The Administrative & Operational Coordinator Volunteer will provide essential support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of NEUROMANCERS. This role involves handling administrative tasks, financial coordination, and operational design to improve efficiency across the organization.

• Administrative Support:

  • Manage straightforward administrative tasks (e.g., contacting people, making phone calls, sending emails, making queries on behalf of the organisation and the Founder).

Yoga Stops Traffick is an international campaign to raise awareness of and funds for survivors of human trafficking in India. We are seeking 2 volunteers to help us improve and evolve this campaign.

What will you be doing?

Yoga Stops Traffick is an international campaign run by UK registered charity Adventure Ashram to raise awareness of and funds for survivors of human trafficking in India. Every year thousands of yoga practitioners from all corners of the globe roll out their mats, from the UK to Iceland to Costa Rica, to stand in solidarity with young survivors. The funds raised from Yoga Stops Traffick help rescue and rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking, sexual and domestic violence, modern-day slavery, and child marriage.

We are seeking  2 volunteers to improve the Yoga Stops Traffick campaign. We've been running this campaign for many years now but sadly despite the campaign's great potential, it has been less and less successful each year. We need some creative marketing and social media experts to help lift this campaign back to its full potential.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Bring your creative social media and marketing ideas to the team to help us think of new ways to increase awareness of Yoga Stops Traffick to yoga studios and teachers in the UK and worldwide, and help us develop plans to turn these ideas into well-executed action.

• Use your corporate partnerships experience to advise us on the best ways to develop new corporate partnerships - help us identify the best potential partners for the campaign and develop plans for approaching them and developing those relationships.

• Provide other administrative support as needed (this could include website updates, creating marketing materials, sending campaign emails, responding to campaign-related enquiries)

This is a voluntary role for now, but we're actively seeking funding and would be happy to explore including your role in future bids.

What this volunteer role involves:

• Researching funding opportunities and helping us track them

• Writing funding applications that reflect our mission, values, and deep listening approach

• Prioritising upcoming deadlines with support from the team

• Collaborating with other fundraising partners or members where needed

You might be a good fit if you:

• Are curious, empathetic, and values-aligned

• Can meet us where we’re at and help translate our story into compelling funding language

• Believe in joy, connection, and collective care

• Have experience in grant writing, fundraising or storytelling

• Can commit about 1 day a week (ideally Monday or Thursday – flexible)

• We work remotely and use a shared Drive

• We do regular check-ins on capacity, access and preferences

The Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) is looking for a dedicated and passionate honorary Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.  

About the RRN Treasurer role

This is an exciting opportunity to volunteer with the RRN in a vital governance role: the Treasurer maintains an overview of the RRN’s financial affairs, ensuring effective and appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures are in place. As a member of the Board of Trustees, the Treasurer also supports good governance helping set the strategic direction of the charity for the years to come.

The role would suit a qualified accountant with some knowledge of charity accounting and the ability to communicate financial information to the wider board in a clear and accessible way. 

With a passionate Board of Trustees and a committed staff team, you’ll join an organisation focused on positive change.

This is a voluntary role. Any expenses incurred while carrying out the duties of the role will be reimbursed.

Role Overview

As the Coordinator: Talent Acquisition, you will primarily focus on managing and scheduling interviews for various positions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of recruitment processes, exceptional screening skills, understanding of the onboarding process and the ability to engage and evaluate candidates effectively.

Key Responsibilities

 Interview Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end interview process, from scheduling and coordinating interviews to conducting them. Ensure a seamless and professional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Candidate Evaluation: Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, and provide feedback to hiring managers. Use behavioural interviewing techniques and other assessment tools to gauge suitability.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team culture, and key competencies needed for each position.
Candidate Engagement: Build strong relationships with candidates, providing them with timely updates and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
Reporting & Analytics: Track and report interview metrics, including candidate feedback, time-to-hire, and any recruitment challenges. Use data to continually improve the interview process.
Onboarding Support: Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from interview to onboarding for successful candidates.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure that all interview processes adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Key Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 1+ years of experience in recruitment, specifically in conducting interviews and managing the interview process.
Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred. CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is a plus.
Interviewing Expertise: Strong background in conducting interviews, including using behavioural and situational interview techniques.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence candidates and hiring managers effectively.
Attention to Detail: Ability to assess candidates thoroughly and provide insightful feedback to ensure the right hiring decisions are made.
Technology: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and MS Office. Familiarity with interview scheduling tools and recruitment platforms is beneficial.
Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK is a 16-week unpaid Professional Development Programme. It requires a commitment of at least 12 hours per week, typically across two 6-hour workdays (Monday to Friday).
