About the Role
Are you an experienced A level tutor? Can you support under-resourced young people to reach their full academic potential?
We are looking for passionate and qualified A level tutors to deliver high quality small group tuition to our cohort of over 800 students. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced tutors with a love of learning to work with bright students whilst earning a competitive market rate for their tuition expertise. Tutorials are delivered online in groups of 2-4 students via our bespoke online platform.
Tutors should be able to commit to a minimum of three hours per week, between the hours of 4pm and 8pm on a weekday, to tutor The Access Project students.
We are looking for A Level tutors in these subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Further Maths, Geography, Maths, Physics, Politics, Psychology and Sociology.

We are looking for an expert who can bring their enthusiasm and knowledge of autistic learners with complex needs to join our team as our resident complex needs expert. You will work with a group of learners who have a combination of conditions and differences that make learning more challenging in all areas of life. It may be ADHD, Down’s syndrome, OCD or a genetic difference, but all our learners have the opportunity to make their life into what they want it to be. Tutor The Nation (TTN) is looking for a new team member to lead their school partnerships and help grow our rapidly expanding charity. We are looking for someone who can manage our relationships with schools, overseeing the matching process of our pupils and volunteer tutors, as well as supporting other aspects of the day to day running of the charity.
Our Director of School and Pupil Partnerships will spend the majority of their time matching our pupils with a suitable volunteer for online tutoring, managing existing and new school partnerships, and pushing for growth. About the opportunity
Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of three Fundraising Coordinators, through which you and your team will prepare and submit grant applications and funding reports, alongside overseeing the development and growth of our individual giving activities and initiatives, including through expansion of our fundraising events and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

Manage the Fundraising Coordinator to ensure places are secured, participants are supported and engagement is expanded.
· Work with Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from individual giving, developing campaigns for driving more regular giving and building our strategies to cultivate, engage and thank individuals.
· Act as a system manager for fundraising platforms, databases and tools including Just Giving and the Giving Block, with support from Fundraising Coordinators.
· Oversee the development of the fundraising area of the website and fundraising pack to attract new funders and fundraisers to the charity, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators.
· Manage the Fundraising Coordinators, ensuring they are growing and developing, and that work load is shared fairly.

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Alongside your team you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant applications and reports, so an excellent understanding of the English language and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success within this position. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in one or two schools in London; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in one or two schools in the West Midlands area; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website. Access to own transport or reliable transport would be ideal.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Manage tutor relationships and attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls

- Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.

We are currently in search of a passionate and committed male older peoples’ programme worker to join our team and lead a weekly a men’s group, as part of the thriving Over 50’s programme. The role involves designing, leading, and facilitating various activities and sessions aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing, and improving community connection amongst older people. We welcome enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of older people to apply and become part of this rewarding and impactful initiative.
What you will be working on

Co-designing activities with older people

Developing and facilitating weekly sessions including a mens’ group

- Permanent, part-time: 17.5 hours a week, open to hybrid / home working with occasional visits to CMS House, Oxford
- Starting salary £17,098 (£34,195 FTE) depending on experience, with a generous pension contribution: up to 10 per cent employer contribution on annual salary

Your role
Church Mission Society is passionate about God’s mission and fired up to see more and more people become followers of Jesus. This role is to support the Diaspora Centre Lead in the design, delivery and teaching of the Asian Christianity pathway of our MA in Mission, Ministry, and Theology through Common Awards with Durham University.

What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a proactive and talented person who has a background in theological or missiological studies. You will effectively teach and support students on the on Asian Christianity MA course. You will also tutor, supervise dissertations, mark assignments and support the Diaspora Centre to grow and recruit students to the best of your time and ability.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of teaching students at graduate level with a theological or missiological qualification to PHD level. You will be confident in your ability to lead a small tutorial group, design assignments and curriculum, as well as working collaboratively. You will also have networking skills to promote the diaspora centre courses.
It is also a requirement for this post holder to be a committed and practising Christian, enthusiastic about the aims and values of CMS.
