Role Overview
As a Volunteer Fundraiser at Barefoot and Free, you will be reuired to come up with fun ideas to fundraise, be able to engage people to fundraise and encourage new supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute virtual and in-person fundraising events (eg raffles, quizzes, sponsored challenges)

GLEN is a network charity (CIO) seeking to amplify the voices of those who have experienced and intimately understand what gambling harms are, and how they manifest in individual, family and community environments.

We are a strong advocate and supporter of the power of Lived and Living Experience and accordingly seek individuals who share our vision of needing the voices and experiential knowledge embodied in LLE to have a central role in shaping our societies understanding and response to what is a growing public health concern.

Time-wise, we simply ask a few hours per month, mainly through attendance at GLEN board meetings which are usually hosted online 4-5 times per year.

About Us

Nugent are a North West based health and social care charity, based predominantly in the Liverpool City region, offering a diverse range of support for adults and children. Our children’s provisions include residential homes, a secure facility, a step-down home and SEMH School. Our adult’s provisions include dispersed homelessness accommodation, floating support provided in the community and supported living provided at home. We also provide adult residential homes including a specialist acquired brain injury, a home for those living with dementia, and a home supporting Mental Health needs. Volunteer Safeguarding Lead  for Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership (WTRRP)

Job summary:  The Safeguarding Lead will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing safeguarding policies and procedures. This individual will work closely with staff, volunteers, and the Committee to promote a safe environment and handle any safeguarding concerns effectively.

WTRRP is a registered charity (England, reg no 1162226) that exists to support people in the Watford Borough and Three Rivers District of West Hertfordshire, who do not yet have status in the UK, or who have specific needs related to their application process or welfare. Currently WTRRP has around 160 live cases (defined as a family unit or individual currently in need of our help).

WTRRP is run by a Committee, which includes several Trustees. The Committee meets typically every 2 months and also for an Annual General Meeting, but it also provides day-to-day support to our staff members (Casework Coordinator and part-time Office Manager) and to our ~80 volunteers.

The main roles of the charity are to run a drop-in session every Tuesday (at St Mary’s Church in central Watford), a social hub at the same time, and to provide financial and other assistance to its clients for their application process for leave to remain in the UK.

Sydenham-based not for profit theatre company is urgently seeking volunteers to help with scenic design and prop making on its upcoming show THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF.

If you have skills as an artist, painter, prop maker or scenery designer or are happy to help out in any way you can and learn on the job, please email us today!

You would need to be available daytimes or evenings in the next 10 days (from Mon 12 May), as the show opens on Sat 24 May, and all scenery / prop items need to be made by Thu 22 May latest. We have a budget for materials and can cover out of pocket expenses.

This is an outdoor theatre show, staged in Home Park (behind Sydenham Library, SE26 5SE), and would suit volunteers who are local to SE London. No experience absolutely necessary, and you are welcome to offer as many hours or days as you are able.

We create products that help communicate emergency action plans to third parties.

Nowadays, children who are diagnosed with a chronic condition will receive an A4-paper explaining how to help the child in an emergency. We as a family have found this not to work perfectly in an emergency. Families are afraid to leave their children to others which results in anxiety and depression for the parents and limits the mobility for children.

Therefore, we have decided to digitise the medical action plan into an app where parents will easily be able to share their children's important information to teachers, soccer coaches and others who could need to use the information.
