What is the role of an Admin Volunteer?

Your Role

As a Volunteer Fundraising Champion, you’ll help us raise the funds we need to provide life-changing breaks for families. You’ll be the creative spark and the friendly face behind fundraising efforts that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise and deliver creative fundraising activities (raffles, online quizzes, challenge events, etc.)

• Engage and support individual fundraisers (e.g. sponsored runners, event hosts)

• Act as a key contact for fundraising volunteers providing encouragement, advice, and practical support

• Develop and maintain a central fundraising tracker (Excel or similar)

• Log all fundraising activity, targets, and deadlines

• Collaborate with our social media volunteer to promote campaigns

• Support recruitment and onboarding of new fundraising volunteers

We are looking to recruit a Support Volunteer for the Leicester and District Group. As our local group Support Volunteer you’ll help people affected by MS find information about local and national services. Main tasks

We need individuals who can manage a group of volunteers within their region and work with Human Appeal staff members to ensure volunteers’ active involvement in events and campaigns.

 Recruit new volunteers and lead current volunteers who will be allocated to your team

 Communicate important campaign-related information to your team

 Organise 2 Fundraising events or community projects with your team within an assigned budget in the year.

 Actively attend and participate in Team Leader meetings and complete any actions allocated to you E.g Recruiting volunteers for online fundraising.

 Work with the Human Appeal staff team to deliver campaigns and 2 in-person events for the year.

As a ‘Counselling Evaluation and Feedback Volunteer’ you will be calling people who have recently completed a course of telephone counselling sessions with RNIB’s Sight Loss Counselling Team. Your role will be to conduct a scripted evaluation with them, helping us to understand the impact and improve the delivery of our services to blind and partially sighted people.

We are looking for a volunteer who can carry out this role between 9 and 5 weekdays. You can choose whether to break the four hours up over a couple of days during the week or to volunteer on one day.
