Are you a qualified Yoga Instructor who would enjoy facilitating weekly sessions to help individuals with their general well-being. This is an opportunity for you to share techniques with others.

Practicing yoga has been shown to increase mindfulness not just in class session, but in other areas of a person's life.

• Design session plans enabling all group members to increase fitness, suppleness and help them relax

The Wellbeing Officer represents the voice of volunteers and helps ensure a positive, inclusive, and supportive chapter culture. You’ll provide a safe and approachable point of contact for volunteers, gather feedback, and raise concerns or suggestions with the committee where appropriate. The role involves developing a chapter wellbeing plan, promoting widening access, and creating a welcoming environment where volunteers feel heard and supported. You’ll also assist the President and Vice President with wider committee responsibilities.

Supporting our events has something for everyone! With roles based at our community events and mass participation events there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in a fun, memorable event experience.

Event support volunteers help our events by marshalling, welcoming participants, setting up and stewarding.

Our volunteers help to run and structure the events better, keep participants safe and allow us to continue to raise money for our care services.

Event Volunteer

IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English.

The overall role of a treasurer is to:

• Maintain an overview of the organisations’ affairs
• Ensuring its financial viability
• Ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.

General responsibilities

• To ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
• To ensure that the organisation pursues its objects as defined in its governing document.

Executive Assistant for the CEO

We are looking for an Executive Assistant volunteer to support the CEO of Sembeza Africa. You will handle core administrative tasks, coordinate volunteer operations and contribute ideas for income generation. 
You are expected to:

• Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, communication and office workflow.
• Prepare documents, presentations, and materials for executive meetings and Board sessions.
• Organize approved travel plans and process related expenses.
• Keep accurate, confidential files for the CEO’s office.
• Generate practical ideas for fundraising and identify possible income streams.
• Draft initial proposals and pitch materials for donors or partners.

This opportunity will take be across Hertfordshire, where we meet in the following locations, Hemel Hempsted, Stevenage and St Albans on a Thursday; Hertford on a Tuesday and Rickmansworth on a Wednesday, all at 8pm. The type of events we have historically covered include Stevenage Day, Herts County Day, Watford Football Club, Firework Events and we assist National and State events in London.

Whilst many of the events we cover are at the weekends we do also cover mid-week events.

Family Friends carefully recruit, train, and match volunteers with families in Central-West London. Our volunteer befrienders offer practical and emotional support based on each family's unique needs and potential. We offer two volunteer opportunities - Big Buddies and Parent Buddies.

Volunteers will aim to help parents to discover their strengths, build confidence, and resolve difficulties. Volunteers meet with their match weekly for a period of up to 12 months.

Activities might include:

• Supporting a parent to take their children on days out.
• Helping to strengthen family relationships.
• Providing a listening ear.
• Helping parents to build confidence in themselves.

Essential Criteria:

• You must be able to commit to the Parent Buddy programme for a minimum of 6 months.
• 18+
• Must have lived in the UK for the last 2 years
