Key responsibilities will include the following: 

• Work with the Board and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to assess capacity gaps across the organisation and how best to fill them.
• Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding and offboarding).
• Provide support, guidance, and advice for managers in conducting and concluding employee relations cases, including absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring adherence to policy. 
• Coordinate and administer company benefits (including health benefit), and research other ways to improve our employee experience.
• Create and manage organisation-wide and individual employee learning programmes. 
• Be independent point of contact for entire team for all welfare and professional issues, providing guidance on support available.
• Support Synchronicity Earth’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Working Group. 
• Review our staff handbook, and company HR policies and procedures ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect relevant legislation and best practice. 
• Be first point of contact with HR & HSE consultants. 
• Identify and implement (subject to budget) suitable HR systems that will help to automate Synchronicity Earth’s’ processes and lead to greater self-service of HR matters.

About you 

Essential skills and experience 

• Level 5 CIPD qualified.
• A proven track record in managing and HR function.
• Experience of developing new policies and procedures for an organisation in line with current best practice.
• Experience of supporting individuals to develop their skill base and careers.

Day Opportunities Manager – working with adults with learning disabilities

Salary:                                up to £28,350 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Responsible for: Day Opportunity coordinators, seniors and support workers, volunteers and service users

We have an exciting opportunity to join Centre 404’s Learning and Leisure team as the manager of our Day Opportunities service.  This service supports adults with a wide range of needs to be active members of the community, increase their independence, develop their life skills and set themselves goals and achievements to work towards.

The post holder will be responsible for line managing the team who plan and deliver a broad programme of social and educational community-based activities.  You will oversee the smooth running of the service and be responsible for quality assurance while ensuring the identified aims of the programme are met. You will also oversee all associated administration, the recruitment and management of relevant staff and volunteers, and contribute to the running and ongoing development of the service.

The role will involve balancing multiple priorities, including strategic planning as well as hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a person-centred approach is maintained at all times and involving people in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for personal and professional development.

This job does require you to be an experienced manager who has planned and developed sessions for people with learning disabilities and led and motivated a team to ensure positive outcomes for people using the service.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through its helpline, call back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies.

 About the role:

We would love to hear from anyone with experience and enthusiasm for training and working in mental health. The Training Officer role is pivotal for the recruitment and training of all our volunteers, who go on to support people affected by mental illness on our helpline or text services.

You will be part of the training delivery team that recruits and trains new volunteers for our out of hours mental health specialist helpline. You will provide support to the Training Manager by responding to volunteer emails and communications, preparing and updating the training material as required and taking active part in recruitment and development of SANE volunteers in line with agreed targets. You will ensure clear and timely information sharing and handover to colleagues and work closely with the service team to maintain high-quality service to our callers.

The Role

FareShare has a dynamic fundraising department that has seen incredible growth in support in an incredibly short space of time. We are now looking for a proven Supporter Retention Manager to join us as we embark on our next phase of deepening engagement with current and new supporters.

This newly created role is an integral part of the Fundraising team’s growth plans to become a £40 million income generating team.

Working closely with the Supporter Acquisition Manager, Supporter Experience Manager (Fundraising Operations) and the wider Fundraising team, the post-holder will lead on stewardship campaigns encompassing Warm Appeals, Regular Giving asks, Supporter newsletters and cross-sell campaigns across FareShare’s audiences. Line management of an Individual Giving Officer (or Assistant) may form part of the roles and responsibilities further down the line.

The role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proven Individual Giving professional to help drive innovation in supporter retention and development and make a decisive contribution to a high-performing team.

Main areas of responsibility

1.Plan and deliver the Warm Appeals programme in line with agreed budget targets and annual workplans

• Campaign manage the Cash Appeals programme at all stages, from initial planning through to supplier management and post-campaign analysis
• Develop and implement a rolling programme of Regular Giving Asks.

2.Develop and manage a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the initial touchpoint through to longer-term giving

• Work with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager on planning, delivering and managing a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the point of acquisition
• Actively monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate disengagement
• Hold regular catch-ups with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager to optimise collaborative working across both teams
• Keep up to date on the latest trends and techniques in Supporter Stewardship and apply learnings as appropriate on retention initiatives.

3.Maximise opportunities for cross-team campaigns

• Collaborate with the wider fundraising team on new and existing income generation opportunities.

Regional Manager - London

This is a remote role, but will require you to travel to sites across London on a regular basis.

Role Purpose

The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

· Local employer supporters, corporate partners supporters, other key local stakeholders and networks

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Centre Management and Student Support

· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes  

· Execute our strategy across the region

· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships

· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting

· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme

· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support

o Management of relationships with employer supporters through regular 'keeping in touch'.

o Directly pursuing a prioritised list of prospect funders in your region in line with our organisational strategy. This work will be supported by Partnership Managers and Head of Programmes  

o Using our SME Internship Investment Fund, seek small and medium sized businesses to provide a mentor and host an intern, seeking as much match funding as possible (e.g., we pay for 1 internship and you pay for 1; 50% of internship funded_

o Support engagement, experience and deliver on the programme commitments to corporate partners in your area.

o Support the Head of Programmes and Partnership Manager with programme reporting requirements specific to corporate partners, trusts and foundations

General

· Promote a commitment to high standards of service, and to equality of opportunity through leadership and good practice.

· With the Chief Executive, Director of Programmes and Operations, and Heads of Programmes , monitor the state of Career Ready in the region and seek ways to promote its achievements and improve the service given by the central staff team.

· Attend meetings and training days with the national team (approximately 2 times a year – these have tended to take place in London).

· Ensure that all regional management information is submitted to the national Salesforce database in a timely and accurate way.

ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. At Ham & Petersham SOS, we are devoted to improving the lives of older and disabled people in Ham & Petersham, Richmond upon Thames. We are seeking a Manager, to work part-time with flexible hours, to help us create joy, support, and companionship for those we serve. 

As a self-starter, you will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as good IT skills including website management. The Complaints and compliance team are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic team member who likes working with policy and procedure, enjoys resolving problems and is committed to helping others. You will need to be an excellent communicator, have the ability to understand complex situations and have experience of handling confidential and sensitive information with volunteers and staff at all levels.

The successful candidate will oversee complaints and compliance cases and queries, providing support and expert advice and guidance in line with Girlguiding's code of conduct and other policies and procedures.

Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors (London) - £29,000  per annum plus London Weighting (pro-rata)

Here at One Million Mentors, our aim is to ensure that every young person in the country has access to a trained mentor as they transition into adulthood. We believe that investing in mentors will help to address the skills gap agenda and improve social cohesion.

This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; a Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors, and Regional Manager for Programme Delivery.

The Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors focuses on mentor supply, securing sufficient volunteers primarily for London and also for 1MM’s national outreach. It’s the perfect role for a candidate whose passions and strengths align with large scale outreach for volunteers so that no young people on those programmes miss out.

The role is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors, in London and nationally. This includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of some corporate programmes. Also to consider safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Providing ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Employers, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).  We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

The Advice Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with staff and clients, along with excellent organisational abilities to ensure that projects are delivered on time.

This role will also involve working with the leadership team to help identify areas for future development and support grant applications and reporting, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

Staff management

• Managing a small advice team, ensuring the quality of the advice provided.
• Providing support and supervision to staff on the delivery of advice services, ensuring that appropriate advice is provided and casework deadlines are met.
• Ensuring good teamwork and lines of communication between staff, volunteers and partner agencies.
• Creating a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are promoted and staff can do their best.

Quality and service delivery

• Leading the welfare advice services, including contributing to possible future expansion.
• Maintaining a small personal caseload (approximately one day’s work per week).
• Working with the Operations Manager to ensure that BIAS maintains the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and is successful in AQS renewal.
• Leading on monitoring service delivery, recording outcomes and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Managing all aspects of risk relating to advice delivery, complaints handling, safeguarding and GDPR.

Operational support

• Working with the leadership team as required on operational matters, including planning, strategy for future development and grant applications and reporting.

WHAT DOES BIAS DO?

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our Active Ageing Clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £1 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for possible further expansion in 2024 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

This is a part time position, based at the Centra London Samaritans branch office, to support the Head of Branch Operations and branch staff team with various duties primarily focused on admin, community events support, and assisting with digital/social media.

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties such as ensuring that we have a database that is organised, up to date and fit for purpose.

This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.

The Fundraising Manager will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships specifically with churches and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve. 

Main duties and responsibilities

Fundraising Overview

1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.

2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local churches and individuals.

3. Coordinate all Appeals including the Pecan and Foodbank Christmas fundraising campaigns and Big Give Campaigns across all income and media streams.

4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities across Pecan such as Payroll Giving, Legacies, in Memory Giving and Online Giving.

Supporter Engagement and Stewardship

1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan’s supporters.

2. To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

3. Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all supporters and managing complaints and issues, ensuring they are reported centrally within agreed procedures, that they are resolved or escalated as necessary and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes.

4. Develop and implement stewardship programmes including reactivation of lapsed donors.

Database Management

1. Assist with setting up our CRM database with responsibility of developing and maintaining the database, ensuring efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.

2. Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.

3. Train other staff members to be able to use the database sufficiently.

4. Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.

5. Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.

Individual Giving

1. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.

2. Lead all individual giving streams such as direct mail appeals, online donations, regular campaigns and appeals to maximise income generation.

3. Work with the Marketing Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

4. Develop campaigns and messaging that engages new segments and audiences.

Church Giving

1. Inspire churches to journey with us as we transform lives in Peckham.

2. Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark.

3. Work strategically with denominations to inspire partnership and engagement with Pecan across their networks and congregations.

4. Build a team of speakers who will host and speak at meetings with churches and Christian networks in Southwark.

5. Be willing to represent Pecan at external events, including Christian exhibitions and festivals, church talks etc…

6. Increase income from churches.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns

1. Work alongside teams and Partnerships Manager to project manage fundraising appeals and campaigns including Pecan at 35yrs; Christmas Campaigns etc.

2. Overall responsibility for Big Give Campaigns.

3. Oversight of Enthuse campaign pages.

4. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the Partnerships Manager, to explain the work of Pecan to potential company supporters.

5. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside Partnerships Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses; individuals and churches.

Staff and Volunteers

1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropiate.

2. Management of a part time Partnerships Manager with responsibility.

3. Work closely with Head of Services and Head of Food Services to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.

Wider organisational responsibilities

· Attend Pecan team meetings as and when required, including meetings where there may be a time of prayer and reflection.

· Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.

· Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Services.

· Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of the Pecan team.

· Perform all the duties required by the post in line with Pecan’s ethos and values statement, its commitment to a policy of equal opportunity and its aim of serving the community in a caring and practical manner.
