London Wildlife Trust is looking for enthusiastic, motivated young people from diverse backgrounds to join our Youth Board. The Youth Board consists of 15 motivated young people (aged 16-25) who are passionate about London’s wildlife and ensuring young people’s voices are heard. Over the year we meet every month in person at one of our London Wildlife Trust sites to discuss and plan a range of projects and topics.

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of sight loss and RNIB services at local events. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to local service providers and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a world without barriers.
What you’ll be doing:
• Giving talks to groups of people to raise awareness of sight loss in your local community by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local businesses, community and voluntary groups.
• Delivering Talks to raise awareness of RNIB services as a trusted source of support for blind and partially sighted people
• Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service

By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Smart Works Board of Trustees.
Our Trustees support all aspects of our work, with the aim of providing strategic support, governance and assurance that enables us to continue to deliver our core service and increase the number of women we can support into work by dressing and coaching women for interview and job success.
The time commitment for this voluntary, unpaid role is an average of a day a month, with more time given at busy periods of the year. There will be a requirement to attend board meetings, with some trustees also sitting on subcommittees that meet around 4 times a year. In addition, there are events to attend and occasional additional duties to support our wider work.

Role: Director of Local Operations
Job Description:
Youth Advantage UK is seeking a volunteer Director of Local Operations to develop and lead its Local Operations Departments (England and Wales; Scotland and Northern Ireland) in identifying and delivering on opportunities for the organisation to have an impact at a local level through commissioned research projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring these Departments produce high-quality research projects which meet the goals agreed with the commissioning organisations and grow Youth Advantage’s reputation and reach in line with its strategic policies. Working closely with the COO and the Policy and Ethics Departments, the ideal candidate will use their prior experience to effectively guide and strengthen the organisation’s ability to enable evidence-based, positive local change. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities:
● In line with the organisation’s strategic priorities, to lead the Local Operations Department in designing, developing and implementing impactful research and project objectives.
● To line manage the Head of Local Operations (England and Wales) and the Head of Local Operations (Scotland and Northern Ireland), supporting them to effectively manage their own teams and to develop and implement the frameworks necessary for producing top quality research projects based around both desktop research and fieldwork.
● To work with HR in creating a strong Local Operations Department composed of individuals with the appropriate skills and expertise. To ensure these volunteers are appropriately supported and trained during their period of service.
● To work alongside the Policy Department to source potential commission and project opportunities, shaping the focus and output of the Local Operations Department accordingly.

Committee Members support Age UK by using their skills and expertise in a particular subject area to provide strategic leadership in, and oversight of, relevant areas of Age UK’s work. Committee Members sit on one or more of Age UK’s committees which meet on a quarterly basis and report to the Board of Trustees on their discussions, recommendations and decisions.
Committee Members are volunteers who are not Trustees or Directors of the charity but make a vital contribution to the effective running of the organisation.

Age UK operates a retail estate across England, including 275 shops. It also provides oversight of all trading activities delivered by retail and exercises Age UK’s oversight of Age Co - our trading subsidiary which is 100% owned by Age UK, and gifts its profits to the charity, provides products and services to people over 50 including insurance products and Independent Living Solutions.
We are seeking a Committee member who has the strategic vision to help us explore how our retail offering (both in-store and online) could extend across our mission to drive the charity’s cut-through and competitive advantage. You will bring your own significant experience of large-scale multi-channel retail as well as a sound understanding of the current retail landscape, including both challenges that exist and strategic opportunities that can be explored.
Technology, Digital and Cyber Sub-Committee
The Technology, Digital and Cyber sub-committee supports the Age UK Finance, Risk and Audit Committee. It has oversight of matters relating to our work in the technology and digital space, both in the way technology supports our internal processes and in how it co-delivers our charitable work and income generating activity. The subcommittee also has a significant focus on cyber-security.
We are looking for a sub-committee Member with strong experience in the delivery of data and digital strategy and transformation. In this oversight role we are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and has the vision to challenge and steer Age UK on the capability of data and digital to deliver Age UK’s strategy now and into the future. Investment Sub-Committee
The Investment sub-committee supports the Age UK Finance, Risk and Audit Committee by providing primary oversight of the charity’s investments, defined benefit pension scheme position and the charity’s investment property assets.
We are looking for Committee Members with senior level experience of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes, to oversee the interests of Age UK (the employer), including setting the long-term strategy for the scheme to move to self-sufficiency and ideally a buy out in due course.
Commitment Required
The initial commitment would be for a two-year term. Membership can be renewed for two further terms of three years, subject to approval. The maximum tenure is for three terms totalling eight years. The overall time commitment is on average 1-2 days per quarter for each committee.

Our core product — the Wekume app — provides university students with trusted, discreet access to lifesaving tools like SafeChat, QuickTest, ARV Corner, and SRH product ordering. Together with our on-campus engagements and social media platforms, Wekume helps students protect themselves and rewrite the narrative around SRH in Uganda.
Role Summary Wekume is seeking a Volunteer International Fundraising Manager to design, build, and lead our international fundraising efforts. This is a key leadership role, critical to growing partnerships with corporations, individuals, businesses, organizations, and allied nonprofits to help fund Wekume’s transformative work. You will recruit, guide, and mentor a team of experienced fundraisers and gift officers, working together to secure the support needed to:

Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage Wekume’s international fundraising team
- Develop and lead strategies to engage corporations, foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and other partners
- Strengthen Wekume’s global donor network through storytelling, outreach, and relationship building
- Ensure consistent progress on both major gift and grassroots international fundraising efforts
- Collaborate closely with Wekume’s leadership, grants team, and marketing team to align messaging and goals
- Mentor and inspire your team, fostering growth, accountability, and excellence
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in non-profit fundraising, donor engagement, or major gifts (international experience a plus)
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Passion for Wekume’s mission and the drive to help reshape futures alongside our Ugandan team
- Strategic thinker, able to set vision and translate it into action

Would you like to volunteer in a customer facing role at RNIB's Product and Advice Centre in London? Could you be the welcoming face of RNIB? Do you have good communication skills and enjoy meeting and helping people? We need friendly, enthusiastic people like you to give visitors to our building the best possible experience when they come to us for information about our products and services. Visits to our Products and Advice Centre are a great way of customers finding out about the products and services that RNIB offers, and give customers the chance to try and buy products.
The role involves welcoming customers and assisting customers to view and try products before they buy, recording purchases on the till (training will be provided) and some admin tasks such as using excel, checking stock lists and processing payments.
We are looking for volunteers with a welcoming and friendly nature, who enjoy interacting with people. Some experience of Microsoft Office and Excel would be great but is not essential.
The Product and Advice Centre team is a friendly and supportive team and ideally, you will have some flexibility to fit in with the needs of the Product and Advice Centre. Volunteers are needed from 10am until 4pm.
