Our Summer Camps
Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th August, & Thursday 28th – Sunday 31st August near Romford, Essex.

We are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to join us on one (or both!) of our action-packed residential Summer Camps. On the camp you will be supporting one of our members with a disability to have a holiday they won’t forget.

What you'll do

On the camp you and a fellow co-volunteers will support one of our members with a learning disability or autism for the 4 days. You’ll support and encourage them to take part in lots of exciting activities such as campfires, treasure trails, swimming, nighttime activities, day trips to the seaside and much more. You’ll also help our members with their day-to-day routines and preparing our meals.

Not only is it four days full of fun and games for you and our members, but you will also play a vital part in supporting them to develop their social skills in a day-to-day environment and of course, to enjoy a fantastic holiday!

What you need
You do not need experience. Full disability awareness training will be provided before you begin volunteering with us.
The only requirements we ask of you are enthusiasm, energy and to be open-minded.

How much time?
The Camps run on consecutive weekends for four days each. The dates are Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th August, & Thursday 28th – Sunday 31st August. You can volunteer on one or both weekends.

Both camps start and finish in Tottenham, North London.

We can offer you
We can reimburse your travel expenses for your training days. All meals, transportation and accommodation are provided during the camps.

These twice-monthly, multi-family workshops offer a safe, supportive space for connection, creativity, and healing. 

The Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Practitioner to join a small, committed team in delivering these community-based workshops. This role is ideal for someone with some experience in perinatal or family mental health or play therapy. This role is suited to someone pursuing training in psychology and early years development. You will be expected to bring warmth, professionalism, and a belief in the strength and potential of families to cope with the challenges of parenting with a mental illness.  You will play a vital part in creating a space that builds relationships, fosters resilience, and nurtures the emotional bond between mothers and their young children.

Benefits
This volunteer placement will offer valuable clinical experience in understanding and supporting mothers who have mental illness and children aged between 2 and 6 years.  You will be involved in the design and implementation of this family mental health intervention. Depending on the interest and experience of the volunteer, the role will include supporting the running of creative activities with the children's group and providing support where needed to the Mental Health Workshop Lead.

Volunteer Responsibilities

● To attend all 12 groups over a 6 month period, plus meetings with the Our Time Charity team throughout the project.

● Co-facilitate workshops, alongside 2 lead practitioners, for mothers and their children aged 2–6, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere.

● Support families using a non-clinical, relational approach that values lived experience, emotional safety, and mutual respect.

● Promote attachment, attunement, and resilience within the parent-child relationship.

● Participate in team meetings and supervision (held virtually).

● Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of workshops and share learning with the wider project team.

● Ensure all safeguarding, data protection, and equality practices are embedded in your work.

● To complete online Safeguarding Children Level 2 training organised  by Our Time and report any safeguarding concerns that arise during  workshops immediately to the Safeguarding Lead.

Essential Requirements

● Experience in facilitating or supporting therapeutic practice/interventions/settings. 

● Experience in using creative tools and activities with young children and therefore ability to contribute to the design and implementation of such activities in this group.

The Role

As a Flyer Distributor you will play a crucial role in helping to raise awareness about our services and events within the Enfield community. InterVol is a student volunteering charity in the United Kingdom that connects students with volunteering opportunities locally and overseas. InterVol supports students to develop their skills with community projects in the UK and then use those skills to support the work of charitable partners overseas on health, education, refugee support, and conservation placements. InterVol is looking for new trustees to join our board. Trustees are responsible for ensuring that InterVol follows our guiding principles and acts within the law. Location: Your country (fully remote)
Time Commitment: Flexible (minimum 5–8 hours per week)

Reporting to: Global Volunteer Coordinator, HELPING CHILDREN INC

��️ Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the official country representative of HELPING CHILDREN INC

• Establish and grow a network of volunteers in your country

• Identify local needs and opportunities to implement or partner on child-focused projects

• Organize virtual awareness campaigns, fundraising, and outreach events

• Coordinate with the international team for reporting and alignment with global strategy

• Represent HELPING CHILDREN INC in local forums, events, or online platforms

• Promote HELPING CHILDREN INC through local partnerships and media

✅ Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate about child rights, education, health, and protection

• Fluent in English (basic proficiency required)

• Active in their local communities or online networks

• Strong communicators with leadership or coordination experience

• Able to commit time consistently and responsibly

• Tech-savvy and capable of using email, Google Drive, and Zoom

• Students, professionals, educators, activists, and retired individuals are welcome

We’re searching for an organised, proactive, and strategic Manager to support the running and management of REMIX, ensuring we deliver our mission with efficiency, passion, and lasting impact.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee Key Operations: Help coordinate programmes, manage logistics, and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of REMIX’s youth initiatives.
• Support Organisational Growth: Work closely with our team to develop processes that enhance outreach, volunteer engagement, and operational effectiveness.
• Manage Resources & Scheduling: Assist in overseeing budgets, timetables, and resource allocation to maximize impact and streamline our charitable efforts.
• Coordinate Partnerships & Community Engagement: Strengthen relationships with local schools, organisations, and stakeholders to expand REMIX’s network and deepen community involvement.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Help implement best practices for volunteer management, communications, and programme delivery, ensuring REMIX continues to thrive and innovate.
