Oasis Youth Support Project Administrator

Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking for a project Administrator to maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital, a project supporting young people who have experienced violence which has had a negative impact on their mental wellbeing.

Duties Include;

1. Updating and maintaining the project’s database from local NHS systems.

2. Identifying young people eligible for the service by screening referrals or trawling the hospital system and ensuring these are collated on the project database to be contacted by the youth workers.

3. Quality assure the data being recorded on the EVIDE system.

4. Preparing regular reports as required by the projects funders or other stakeholders.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience with administration, including using excel, word and other Microsoft systems.

· Have an eye for detail and accuracy.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to deadlines.

Please be aware that although the role does not require face to face work with young people, the post-holder will be regularly reviewing and inputting details of incidents relating to youth violence.

Job Description

Spires was established as a response to homelessness in the late 1980s. Initially providing a hot meal, clothing, and advice to those who came for help, Spires has developed into an organization that provides a range of services, including day centre style drop ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working. 

Our core mission is to support homeless people into housing and to assist those who have been homeless in maintaining their accommodation, reducing the risks they face, and increasing their choices. We assess need, create support plans, and provide ongoing key work to empower people to improve their circumstances.

Purpose of Role:

• Support the effective delivery of Spires services across the range of activities provided,

About the Role

The Legal Officer will be an integral part of the UK Litigation team and will work closely with external legal teams to advance our cases and ensure coordination of legal actions in line with Reprieve’s strategic goals. They will be responsible for administration and maintenance of casefiles and key case management documents and assume certain day-to-day file management responsibilities. They will feed into case strategy discussions and will support the team by conducting and overseeing legal and factual research, drafting documents for litigation and advocacy purposes, and producing and maintaining core internal documents and records. The Legal Officer will also help advance investigations on selected cases, coordinating record collection, feeding into investigation plans and supporting other investigative work. 

In addition to working on UK legal cases, the role will encompass work on Reprieve’s cross-cutting strategic United Nations engagement and international litigation. This will involve monitoring for relevant opportunities to shape international law and working on international legal submissions, particularly before international human rights complaints mechanisms and international tribunals. 

There may also be opportunities to contribute to other areas of Reprieve’s work.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

About the Role 

As our Global Affairs Lead focusing on climate you will drive the political strategy and global advocacy for our climate campaign. Bringing considerable strategic contacts, networks and relationships for WASH and Climate advocacy you will work closely with the Global Head of Campaigns on Climate and the Climate Policy Lead, this role being responsible for the design and delivery of the international political plan on Climate and the insider advocacy, activities and tactics required you will bring political analysis and strategic insight into the organisation to inform our campaigning and advocacy, identify policy needs and inform media and public engagement approaches. 

In this role, you will lead design and delivery of the International Climate Political Plan, the international political influencing strategy for WaterAid’s Climate campaign and give strategic direction to the political advocacy for COP30 agenda for Brasil and influence key decision-makers on climate finance for water and WASH adaptation investment. You will have a good understanding of climate adaptation agenda and policy and you will be responsible for the power-mapping and political analysis that identifies the key levers for change in support of our political plan change objectives for Climate. Bring a strong understanding of the institutions, organisations. 

You’ll also:  

• Be responsible for co-chairing the Global Advocacy Meeting with the global head of campaigns on Climate. 
• Lead the process to identify which targets are best for our policy change objectives, which we can then further refine in line with those targets.
• Be a media spokesperson and represent the organisation at strategic events and with high-level campaign targets. 
• Embed a strong gender, equity and inclusion lens to advocacy priority delivery, as part of addressing the needs of those burdened the most with a lack of access to WASH. 
• Travel in support of the global relationships and strategic presence at key events and processes.

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Strategic Political Leadership: Exceptional strategic thinking skills, with the ability to design and lead the implementation of comprehensive international political influencing plans. 

• High-Level Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in building, managing, and leveraging relationships with senior decision-makers, including government officials, international development agencies, and private sector leaders. 

• WASH and Climate Expertise: Deep understanding of the intersection between WASH, climate change and poverty reduction. As well as how these sit within wider development issues.

• Advocacy and Campaign Leadership: Proven ability to develop and execute successful advocacy campaigns with demonstrable impact. Strong analytical skills to assess political contexts, identify opportunities, and design tailored advocacy strategies.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum Level 3 youth work qualification or equivalent and significant, relevant experience of youth service delivery.
• Experience of engaging girls in youth programmes successfully
• Knowledge of youth policies, safeguarding procedures and legislation
• Good communication, people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to relate, support and engage with wide range of young people
• Proficient with computers, social media and other modern technologies

Our client is a charity which matches members of the public who need free legal help with barristers who are willing to donate their time and expertise in deserving cases for those who are unable to obtain legal aid and cannot afford to pay. They do this in every area of law, across England and Wales before every court and tribunal. The charity believe that fair and equal access to justice is the foundation of our society. That the quality of your legal representation shouldn’t depend on the depth of your pockets, but the merits of your case. They are funded by the dedicated barristers who also volunteer their time and skills.

As demand for their service increases they are now creating a new role as Head of Operations to lead and oversee core operational functions to ensure effective day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include working with the CEO and trustees to ensure effective governance and compliance for the charity and supporting with the day to day management of the charity’s finances. You will oversee the HR function including recruitment, onboarding, performance, staff development and training. In addition, you will ensure smooth office operations supporting with IT and office management and will act as the charity’s data protection lead.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an operational management role, with exposure to governance, finance and HR as priority areas. You will bring excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will have experience of managing contracts and supplier relationships and have excellent people skills in order to engage with and support the wider organisation. With this being a newly created role this will require adaptability and is also an opportunity for the incoming Head to shape the role for the future.

This could be an ideal role for someone looking to develop and grow in a new position and is open to someone looking to make a step up to their first Head of Operations role. We also welcome applications from more senior level applicants who would enjoy developing and shaping the role and helping the charity to grow.

Please note that this role is stand-alone with no line reports and can be available either as a full time 5 days per week opportunity, or part time, 4 days per week on a pro-rated salary. The charity operates a hybrid policy and this role will be based 3 days a week in their London-based office.

SLRA is a well established local migrant support organisation working alongside refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis due to immigration issues. Our committed, supportive team works alongside local volunteers to provide a range of services including advice and casework, supportive group sessions, youth casework and activities for families and young people. 

We are looking for a Youth Caseworker to work alongside young refugees, asylum seekers and other young migrants who are at risk or in crisis, to ensure that they can access their statutory rights and achieve their full potential. The Youth Caseworker will provide holistic casework, advice and practical support to young people aged 14 to 24 years, working closely with statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure that the immediate and longer-term needs of young people are met.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Substantial experience of working with refugee, asylum seeking, unaccompanied asylum seeking and/or other migrant children and young people in the UK, along with experience of delivering casework, advice and advocacy support.
• Knowlege of the issues faced by refugee, asylum seeking and vulnerable migrant children and young people, and the policy and legistration which affects them.

About Support and Connect 
The Support and Connect service is delivered in partnership with MIND in Camden, within the NHS Core Team. We provide members of our local community with short-term, holistic and person-centred support, which is meaningful and steered by them. We aim to work flexibly with, and alongside clients in the service to support their needs and wellbeing. 
Support and Connect is a short-term service, offering up to 10-12 sessions of emotional, social and/or practical support. You would be expected to meet with clients either at Likewise, in one of our partner offices across Camden or within the community spaces across the borough.
