Our Youth Development Leads are the heart of our programme delivery and facilitate high quality & impactful sessions for our young people. Reporting to the Programmes & Impact Manager, you’ll work with autonomy to manage your school partners, develop your team of volunteer mentors and collaborate across our ambitious delivery team with a focus on evidence based continuous improvement.

It’s an exciting time to join ReachOut as we launch our new strategy! This role brings together the best of our previous Project Officer & Project Leader roles shifting responsibility for delivery into our full-time staff team. This is an investment in building the quality and impact of our programmes and we’re hiring for multiple positions to complete our team of Youth Development Leads.  

We’re looking to fill four positions in total – two full time roles in London and as well as one part time role in London and one part time role in Manchester.

Contract: Permanent – (probationary period of 6 months)

Location: London or Manchester. Hybrid working with project delivery in and around region

Salary: £25,000 – £27,500 pro rata

Hours and Annual Leave: 

1. Full time:

   • 2 positions in London

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a creative and organised communicator who thrives on bringing people together through compelling campaigns and memorable events. You'll be confident managing multiple projects, with a flair for storytelling and a strong grasp of how to engage audiences both digitally and in person.

You should have experience in marketing, fundraising, or events and be comfortable leading on campaign planning, content creation, and supporter engagement. A keen eye for detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• To work with the Community Engagement Officer on the development and roll out of our community fundraising programme, identifying areas of growth and undertaking regular analysis to increase the awareness, engagement and income generating opportunities
• Coordinate and help deliver fundraising campaigns, Tent for Lent and Tea in a Tent, engaging existing audiences, generating new leads, income and awareness for the organisation. Actively seeking further opportunities to grow these campaigns.
• Contribute and implement marketing plans, materials and content for all campaigns and activities to recruit and retain supporters, making sure brand and impactful messaging are at the heart of everything we do and driven by audience insight.
• Identify and maintain effective administrative processes for events and campaigns, ensuring accurate communication and financial records, while using data insights to drive continuous improvement and learning.
• Actively seeking further opportunities in the UK fundraising market to develop our events and campaign portfolio, offering engaging products for our audiences.
• Coordinate our annual Truro carol concert, working collaboratively with the wider Fundraising and Communications team to deliver an engaging and memorable fundraising event.
• Establish and help deliver the community fundraising marketing and communications plan, identifying opportunities to create inspiring touch points. To include development of content for appeals, newsletters, adverts, articles, social media etc
• Coordinate the creation of high-quality resources and tool kits, working closely with the Community Engagement Officer, that empower fundraisers and volunteers to take action confidently and effectively.
• Design, develop and implement a communication journey, in collaboration with the Supporter Care Team and Marketing & Events Officer, which supports all community fundraisers, ensuring they receive a positive and engaging experience which encourages continued acts of support
• Responsible for the logistical delivery of our annual volunteer conference, working collaboratively with the Community Engagement Officer to deliver a first-class event for our volunteers.
• Working closely with wider Community Team to support promotion of campaigns and activities through our volunteer network, giving them the tools to do this, helping to achieve targets.
• To work to set income and expenditure budgets, monitoring costs and trends, reporting and analysing performance and implementing solutions where appropriate.
• Work closely with wider Community Team to deliver major disaster plan during periods of emergency appeal, with the objective of maximising fundraising revenue and enhancing public awareness of ShelterBox's mission.
• Work collaboratively with wider Fundraising and Communications Department to ensure our community programme helps to deepen supporter engagement, working towards shared goals and supporting on specific projects where appropriate.

General duties:

• Producing detailed annual action plans and evaluations on specific areas of responsibility, identifying areas for growth/development and outlining measurable objectives.
• Objectively review the success and achievements against agreed targets, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development
• Contribute new ideas and continually seek to improve processes to drive efficiency and increase income.
• Participate in the day-to-day work of the organisation - such as reporting, attending team meetings as required, and taking a flexible approach
• Representing ShelterBox at supporter/public events, delivering presentations where necessary.

We are looking to appoint a new Digital Communications Officer to play a key role in helping SportsAid build vibrant and engaged online communities, delivering content and fostering meaningful interactions across our digital platforms.

Our new digital community engagement platform will be a cornerstone of SportsAid’s digital strategy, providing an essential space for athletes and their parents to access tailored resources and training, connect with peers, and feel part of a supportive community.

Your focus will be on:

· Planning and producing content for the online community platform, ensuring regular updates, discussions, and engagement opportunities

· Day-to-day management of SportsAid’s social media channels, amplifying stories, celebrating achievements, and engaging with a wider audience

• Creating a mix of written, visual, and video content to drive engagement and audience growth.

The post-holder will be responsible for deliver a range of support interventions for people newly diagnosed with HIV, and those re-engaging in their HIV care, who may be identified via Emergency Department Opt-Out testing in Liverpool.

Collaboratively work with Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUFHT) to ensure people living with HIV receive practical, social and emotional support. The delivery of peer support in a clinic setting and, in the community, and onward referrals to relevant services.

Ensure that people living with HIV in vulnerable circumstances are supported to minimise the risk of them returning to ‘need to find’ status and remain engaged in services.

We seek someone with experience working with diverse communities. Knowledge and understanding of the common experiences and need of people living with HIV is essential.

Memory Tree cafes combine music and singing, dancing, reminiscence, exercise, activity and social interaction providing a safe and relaxing environment for older people living with dementia and their carers. Our programmes are delivered in various settings across the borough including care homes, sheltered housing and community venues together with our own Brigstock Road Community Hall.

The Healthier Lifestyle team at Age UK Croydon offers a range of inclusive and accessible activities and events across the borough of Croydon combining exercise and social engagement in a variety of local settings.  These sessions help reduce isolation, improve independence, prevent falls, increase fitness levels and manage health conditions. They also provide social engagement and interaction, information and support around living with dementia, a safe and welcoming space for all to engage and relax.

Duties will include (but are not limited to) –

• Independently delivering chair-based exercise sessions daily in Croydon care homes to residents.
• As an Age UK Croydon ambassador promote our services including via talks and presentations to community groups across the Borough.

Community charity Groundwork South has a unique opportunity for an energetic, people-focused, self-motivated Senior Project Officer to join our Communities Prepared team to develop and provide community resilience training and support for a diverse range of communities.

Summary of role: Communities Prepared is our flagship England-wide community resilience programme which provides training and support to community volunteers and the wider public – helping them to build their confidence, skills, and knowledge to prepare for, respond to, and recover from various threats, including severe weather events amplified by climate change.

With the demand and need for our programme continuing to grow, we are looking for a new part-time Senior Project Officer to work closely with the existing delivery team, wider programme team, communities, and partners nationwide to design and deliver online and in-person tailored training and support packages for community volunteers across England.

We are looking for a Head of Intercultural Engagement (Maternity Cover) to lead our work to create a truly global experience for all students at UCL, harnessing the diversity of our student body, creating opportunities for international mobility, and working to ensure every UCL student is internationally aware, culturally inquisitive, and a true global citizen ready to change the world for the better.

The role is a full time and fixed term contract for 12 months. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work from home on a 40/60 basis (40% working from the office).

As the Head of Intercultural Engagement, you will be responsible for leading the Intercultural Engagement strand of UCL’s Student Life Strategy. By building relationships across UCL harnessing the rich diversity of UCL’s student community and creating new and investing in existing relationships with international partners, you will work to increase the number and range of opportunities for students to gain intercultural exposure on and off campus, managing a small team to support the expansion of our global engagement work. 

You will lead the Union’s work on Freedom of Speech at a time of change, increasing complexity and opportunity for the sector. Your team will support the organisation to deliver over 1500 external speaker events each year. You will be responsible for leading innovative programmes aimed at enabling students to disagree well at a global university as we tackle challenging issues in an uncertain world.

About the role

You’ll support effective governance and compliance by coordinating key processes, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with regulatory obligations across the charity.

You’ll help embed a culture of accountability and integrity, contributing to strong oversight and enabling the organisation to deliver its mission with confidence.

What’ll you do

• Support the Head of Risk and Assurance to ensure the charity remains compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, keeping abreast of changes and developments to ensure they are enacted.

• Assist in the maintenance of statutory records and ensure timely updates to regulatory bodies (e.g. Charity Commission, Companies House).

• Support the development and review of governance and compliance policies and procedures.

• Monitor regulatory requirements in areas such as data protection (GDPR), fundraising standards, and safeguarding.

• Maintain and update the compliance calendar, tracking deadlines and supporting timely delivery of required actions.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in charity governance, compliance, or risk management. Relevant non-charity experience will also be considered, provided you demonstrate a strong interest in the charity sector 

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to charities (e.g. GDPR, Charity Commission guidance) 

• Knowledge of modern risk management frameworks 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Good attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities
