KidsOut’s core mission is to provide support designed to improve emotional, educational and social outcomes for children and young people who are facing numerous adverse childhood experiences associated with domestic abuse, poverty, family breakdown or ill health. We do this by providing joy filled experiences, practical and emotional support, and facilitating therapeutic or educational initiatives that strive to empower each child or young person to overcome adversity, unlock their full potential, and flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
KidsOut’s support is offered to every child in a Women’s Aid refuge and over 100 independent refuges as well as children and young people experiencing crisis and challenge from some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged communities across the UK. Many of the 70,000 children and young people we support have undergone traumatic experiences, which can cause significant harm to their psychological development, their emotional wellbeing, their school life and their relationships.
We aim is to restore some normality and provide comfort to these traumatised children and young people though our programme of wellbeing amd educational activities. Our multi-faceted activities include fun days out, music, sport and art workshops as well as delivery of our bespoke Toyboxes to every child arriving at refuge. Additionally, for young people struggling to cope with their mental health we collaborate with regional partners to offer face-to-face sessions that offer specialist support and coping strategies to build resilience and improve emotional wellbeing.
In your role of Trust and Partnerships Officer you will be actively involved in the provision of these positive initiatives by applying your excellent research and relationship management skills to help develop a pipeline of income from charitable trusts and corporate foundations with the potential to support our wide range of projects. You will identify and develop compelling applications to secure funding through various funding sources, that not only contributes to the financial team target but makes a difference to the UK's most vulnerable children.
Key Duties:
- You will write compelling and successful funding applications to Charitable Trusts, Statutory funds and other grant making organisations.
- You’ll keep up to date on the UK grant funding market and trends
- You’ll build and maintain grants and partnership pipeline, seeking out new prospects and opportunities to support existing and new projects.
- You’ll ensure compliant and organised information filing on SharePoint and CRM to facilitate access to relevant information for colleagues and ensure smooth collaboration.
- You’ll produce and update internal income generation reports
- You’ll work flexibly, adapting to rapid changes and opportunities.
- Support volunteers and interns within the Grants and Partnership fundraising team.
- Work across teams to develop projects and align with funders criteria.
- You’ll collaborate across fundraising, sharing ideas, learnings and encouraging creativity and innovation.
- You’ll be prepared to represent the team at workshops and events as required (may require occasional evening/weekend work).
- You’ll assist the Fundraising Team with other fundraising appeals/events when necessary.
- You'll comply with all current charity law and data protection legislation (i.e. GDPR) and ensure that the Code of Fundraising Practice, as stipulated by the Fundraising Regulator and best practice is adhered to.
Salary: £30-£32k per annum
Base: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire with flexibility for Hybrid home working.
Hours: 37.5 Monday-Friday

About the Role
Applications are invited for the role of Church Buildings Officer to work within the Church Buildings team and support the work of the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC).
The main duties of the Church Buildings Officer will include:
- Providing guidance, advice and support to parishes, Archdeacons, and others on the care of church buildings, church contents and churchyards
- Assisting the Senior Church Buildings Officer with the preparation for committee meetings, drafting minutes, and progressing applications for permissions for works to church buildings between meetings.
- Assisting parishes with making faculty applications and providing support to parishes to register with the Online Faculty system and submit applications online.
- Arranging and attending site visits to churches across Sussex to discuss major projects, and writing up site visit reports, passing on the DAC’s initial advice
About You
With a relevant degree or equivalent experience, you will have knowledge and an understanding of the historic built environment.
You will also have experience of providing administration support and working with committees and/or volunteers
You will have:
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- A high level of organisation and attention to detail
- Full familiarity with MS office 365 (Outlook, Word, SharePoint etc)

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for experienced Support and Progression Officers to join our Berwick Street and Westminster Housing Support services based in Westminster. We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
Berwick Street service is a high support needs 24hours service for people aged 16 to 25yrs. Many clients will be care leavers or have experienced homelessness.
Our Westminster services is a low support service at the final stage of the Westminster’s Pathway. The service aim is to improve the life chances of single homeless or vulnerably housed young people, supporting them to develop independent living skills in supported temporary accommodation. The service works with young people in shared flats.
In this role you will:
- Work face to face with young people and support them to achieve their goals and independence.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest possible standards of accommodation
- Undertake initial and ongoing needs/risk assessments for young people
- Manage your own caseload of young people, providing holistic support in line with their needs and aspirations
- Liaise with multiple agencies to ensure effective communication across the service and externally including social work teams, YOS, health, and other statutory services and voluntary agencies
- Make internal and external referrals to a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies for specialist support and Employment and Training opportunities

We deliver online mentoring programmes in collaboration with schools, universities, businesses and charities to provide young people with access to networks, online career information and high-quality mentoring.
Role overview
The Project Support Officer will support our Programmes Team with activity related to project delivery while members of the team are on maternity leave. The postholder will be responsible for completing a variety of project delivery tasks that support the smooth running of our online mentoring. These tasks include administrative support through our online mentoring platform, data entry and data monitoring, training our volunteers to be mentors and inducting young people onto our programmes.
Key responsibilities

- Writing emails and other communications to our project users

Job Purpose
This is a new role created to assist the small but growing team at SKT with our primary goal of engaging and mobilising residents in the neighbourhood we serve, numbering around 7500 people. SKT will assume management of community and event spaces at the heart of the neighbourhood this year and we are preparing service providers to make room for community voice in shaping local services. Involving residents in shaping their future is central to our purpose, whether by ensuring local assets and amenities work for them, or by influencing service delivery. This makes the Community Engagement Coordinator role an exciting and important addition to the team.
Main Tasks:
Volunteer Recruitment, Training and Coordination

Recruit and maintain a team of twenty active volunteers from the local community to assist in community building initiatives.

Develop and deliver a volunteer programme to engage the South Kilburn community which will likely include, but not limited to:

Community research and consultation

Public space improvements (greening, activation etc)

Promoting community cohesion through events

Train volunteers in peer-engagement and consultation practice,

Induct and supervise skilled volunteers, as necessary.
Community Cohesion and Wellbeing

Encourage and inspire volunteers to work as a team, take ownership of each activity, and to celebrate collective successes,

Involve volunteers in planning and delivering community projects and events.
Resident Voice

Collaborate with the Community Engagement, Partnership and Marketing Manager to develop and deliver a consultation plan to better understand residents’ needs and priorities,

Conduct outreach in the community with trained volunteers, including door-to-door canvassing, satisfaction surveys, pop-up stalls etc.

Collect and systematically analyse information gathered through outreach and community consultation.
Widening Participation

Increase rates of community participation, belonging and pride across all segments of the community in South Kilburn.

Use creative methods to increase engagement with decision making from all sections of our diverse community.

Contribute to a new system of representative community governance, enabling the resident body to speak with one voice,

With partners, support the coordination of community events in South Kilburn.
Empowerment and Progression

Maintain continued awareness of local opportunities and train volunteers to disseminate accurate information and signposting,

Seek opportunities for volunteer progression including supporting those looking to do so in to work and work-placements with local businesses.
Partnerships and information sharing

Maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including partner charities, volunteers, Brent Council officers and community members,

Work with the Communications and Engagement officer to disseminate useful information to residents.

Be an ambassador for SKT and ensure our values of joy, collaboration and inclusion are upheld by the volunteer team.

Be responsible for organising team building days and social events for SKT staff, volunteers, and Trustees.

About the Role:
As the University Access Officer, you will work with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and the rest of the organisation's team to ensure the programme is delivered effectively. Other roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Engaging with students in school and enrolling them onto the programme
- Assessing student progress towards making successful university applications
- Uploading information onto the Salesforce database (training provided)
- Building and managing relationships with volunteers to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Managing students' relationships with volunteers through monitoring systems, emails, and phone calls
- Working with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chairing and presenting at school meetings with senior management to report on programme progress
- Supporting the volunteering team by helping deliver volunteer training sessions and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off provided)

As we enter our seventh year as a charity and our work established within West Wales, we are now getting set to fulfil our mission that all children, wherever they reside in Wales, should be able to access the right support, at the right time.
Our new Foundations, grants and trusts officer will Work closely with the fundraising Officer and wider team and be able to guide and navigate their way through the various ways we need to engage with, apply to and subsequently report back to trusts and foundations; large and small.
The role is offered full or part-time and with the flexibility of office based in Pembrokeshire or working remotely from anywhere within Wales. The role will support our work across Wales and will have regular travel around the country and to meetings in our Pembrokeshire Centre.
