About the role
We seek an inclusive, self-motivated leader to manage the Citadel projects in England (excluding London) in Bristol, Cornwall, Sheffield and Hastings. Responsibilities include overseeing four projects, regular monitoring, reporting, budgeting, and supporting six Citadel Co-ordinators in overcoming any local barriers and developing strong local partnerships.

Citadel is a volunteer-led project preventing homelessness by helping people find or sustain their tenancies and establish a home. Volunteers, once recruited, trained and DBS checked are matched with those referred for support. Co-ordinators and volunteers work closely with those referred to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

Every day of the year the charity gives brave and deserving children across the UK the chance to put their illness on hold and do something they have previously only dreamed of.
The role:
We are seeking a Wish Granter with a “can-do” attitude to deliver bespoke, creative, high-quality and meaningful experiences to seriously ill children and their families. You will be responsible for planning and managing a portfolio of wish experiences including researching, planning and booking experiences, negotiating quotes and gift in kind with vendors and managing timeframes and budgets.
Requirements:
Creativity, organisational skills and the ability to empathise and communicate with wish children and their families are all key to this role. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, experience in project or event management, and ideally have some experience working with children and young people.

Job description
Are you passionate about patient and public engagement, effecting system change, and improving services? Are you confident to design and carry out research, and tell the story of the findings in briefings and reports? If so, we’d love to work with you to improve the experiences of people using health and social care services in Barnet.
As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.
The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.

About the role
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide vital administrative, financial, and operational support across a range of our services that enable older people and those living with disabilities and mental health challenges to stay independent, active and connected to their communities.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Administration: You'll be integral to delivery of our handyperson service, exercise programmes for older people and decluttering service, managing enquiries, referrals, bookings, invoices and payments.

Project Support: You'll help support our community projects, supervising activities where needed, assisting with admin and data collection, and being a point of contact for new and existing volunteers.

General Operations: You'll wear many hats, supporting senior staff with HR, training, communications, IT, health & safety, and providing a friendly face.
We are looking for someone who:

Has empathy and can communicate effectively with a diverse range of service users, including older adults, those with disabilities, and those facing mental health challenges.

Is a whiz with administration, has a keen eye for detail, and can work comfortably and effectively across multiple projects.

Is confident using (or comfortable learning to use) a range of software and collaborative platforms (e.g. Google Workspace, Trello, Airtable) and accounts management software (ideally QuickBooks).

Has a warm, friendly personality and a proactive attitude, eager to contribute ideas and support colleagues.

This is an exciting time to join our Development, Alumni & Campaigns Office, and we wish to appoint an individual who shares our passion for the future of UEA. The Development Officer (Trusts & Foundations) will join a small, dedicated team responsible for securing income from charitable trusts, foundations and grant making bodies in the UK and internationally in support of agreed University priorities, including Health-UEA Climate-UEA and various campus projects.
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) you will apply for and manage grants whilst also managing the research of new funding opportunities for the team.
Educated to degree level, or with equivalent relevant qualification or experience, you will have excellent organisational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; and an aptitude for face-to-face fundraising. Full training will be provided in fundraising/managing of relationships with volunteers and supporters.
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.

Key responsibilities:

• To form ongoing working relationships with people who refer members to Sound Minds such as care coordinators, social prescribers, community mental health teams, local psychiatric hospitals, and housing support workers.
• To lead the referral team at Sound Minds to ensure the referral pipeline operates smoothly and fits the needs of prospective members.
• To lead on the pastoral care of our individual members. Working with people to help resolve any ongoing problems around areas such as housing, finance, benefits, access to mental health services, having sufficient food to eat and referring and signposting them on to other services.
• Referring members on to other services and ensuring that the offers of Sound Minds are joined up.
