The West of England Baptist Network (Webnet) is seeking a Trust and Property Officer to join our friendly, relational team. This key role supports the operational and organisational effectiveness of both Webnet and the West of England Baptist Trust Company (WEBTC), helping our network of churches manage governance, legal, property, and trust matters.
The role is a permenant part-time role (15 hours per week) pattern to be agreed. £19.82 per hour (£15,460 per annum) at 15 hours per week.
You’ll play an important part in enabling WEBTC to fulfil its responsibilities as holding trustees for church properties and funds, offering practical guidance on areas such as sales, leases, and redevelopment projects. The role also involves liaising with solicitors, surveyors, and advisors, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant charity and property law.

About the Role

- substantial experience of successfully leading and managing a large and geographically dispersed team of staff and volunteers, embedding change and fostering a high performing culture.

The Manna Day Centre is a drop-in Centre for homeless and vulnerably housed single men and women. It is run by a team of project workers, under the Director, who are responsible for its smooth operation. Basic Services offered include food, showers, clothing, housing & welfare advice, medical care, and access to laptops. The Centre opens to service users 7 days a week, 8.30am– 1.30pm. The working week for this post is Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm each day.
Housing & Welfare Advice Workers must have a commitment to homeless people, which includes acceptance and respect. Responsibilities are shared among the team according to needs, skills and aptitudes. The annual salary is negotiable (depending on your experience) ranging from £31,746 to £36,678. This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Training Coordinator works closely with our Head of Training to administer the teacher training arm of Breathworks, a busy programme of events that is core to what we do. A capacity to work quickly, methodically and mindfully is a must. If you're ready to bring your brilliant administration skills to help people globally access the benefits of mindfulness and compassion training we would love to hear from you. You will need to be an experienced administrator who is highly organised, great with people and with systems such as CRM databases, online learning platforms and content management systems.

About the role
Working across the Crisis teams in London, you will lead on the delivery of our volunteer programme. You will be responsible for the recruitment of new volunteers, the support of existing volunteers and volunteer supervisors to maintain a positive volunteer experience. You will work across teams to ensure volunteers’ experience of volunteering is positive and play a key role in volunteer retention. You will be collaborative and dynamic in working with the team to identify and develop new volunteering opportunities. You will have the ability and confidence to increase the diversity and variety of our volunteering opportunities to reflect our local community and better serve our members. You will be flexible and innovative in reaching a diverse group of people from across the local community.
You will have experience of working with people who are socially excluded or with support needs. You will understand the importance of delivering equitable services and can empower our members to share their experience and contribute to continuous service adaptations and improvements. You will be creative and inclusive in establishing service-specific member involvement opportunities so members can influence our service locally. You will work across teams to ensure we deliver our service with people experiencing homelessness, instead of delivering a service to people experiencing homelessness. You will work with the central Crisis team to respond to member involvement opportunities, influencing policy and providing members with the opportunity to share their story with the wider public and media.

About Us
Wintercomfort is a small Cambridge charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerably housed or at risk of losing their homes. We offer basic welfare amenities, educational development, pathways to employment and other services to help people achieve greater autonomy, in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
Role Summary
As a member of Wintercomfort’s Team, reporting to the Services Manager the Day Centre Team Leader role is responsible for supervising the weekend locum team, delivering welfare services over the weekend, developing and delivering Wintercomfort’s range of welfare services and social, learning, and work opportunities aimed at supporting individuals out of the spiral of homelessness and back into mainstream society.
Purpose of the job
Our Project Workers are front line team members responsible for helping Wintercomfort to meet its objectives of supporting the homeless and vulnerably housed in Cambridge to make positive changes in their lives.
The role holder will play a vital part in delivering a broad range of services predominantly based at our centre, Overstream House, with some outreach work within the community. Tasks range from helping people who are sleeping rough to access our drop-in welfare service and access one-to-one key-working sessions with an assigned Project Worker. This is a varied, challenging and incredibly rewarding role working with some of the most vulnerable people in the community to change their lives for the better.
Key Responsibilities
- To be a member of the project worker team at the day centre providing a welcoming and safe environment in which welfare and learning and development services can be delivered.
- To be responsible for running the service at weekends and be a team leader to the Locums and weekend team.
- Be responsible for co-ordinating day to day tasks during opening hours and, as a member of the staff team, to deal with any breaches of policy or of the code of conduct.
- To support the delivery of Wintercomfort’s welfare service overseeing access to essential facilities such as meals, showers and laundry services at our centre.
- To provide one-to-one support with issues such as benefits claims, access to IT and support with online services and work with other professionals identifying individuals who require specific support in areas such as Housing, Recovery, Social Inclusion, Tenancy Support and Employment.
- To have line management responsibility for the Locum Weekend Team and to ensure that any safeguarding concerns are reported to the Services Manager.
- To provide occasional cover of the reception area, welcoming visitors to the centre.
- To ensure that accurate records are recorded during Wintercomfort’s activity time.
- To ensure any necessary referrals and signposting is offered/ conducted with Service Users.
