As Research Manager – Contracts and Funding, you will play a vital role in the delivery of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s growing research portfolio. You will lead on the financial and contractual aspects of our research funding processes. You will help ensure our funding is administered responsibly, efficiently, and in a way that maximises impact for people affected by dementia. This role sits within the Research Directorate, an ambitious, supportive and friendly team, and working closely with colleagues across Finance and Fundraising.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Research award financial oversight

· Maintain systems to track financial data associated with funded grants, providing information to internal teams and act as the primary contract for all questions related to financial award data

· Monitor active grants for financial compliance, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting from researchers and host institutions.

· Collaborate with the Finance team and Research Leadership team to maintain robust grant forecasting and budget control across research programmes.

· Provide advice and training on financial best practices to internal teams

· Implement, oversee and refine a grants audit approach and lead on the annual AMRC data collection

· Work with teams across the organisation to identify efficiencies and improvements to existing procedures

Research contracts and agreements

· Lead the drafting, negotiation, and finalisation of all research-related contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, funding agreements, collaboration agreements, and data agreements, working with the Partnerships manager as appropriate.

· Liaise with host institutions, collaborating organisations, and legal advisors to resolve contractual queries and ensure efficient processing.

· Working with internal and external legal counsel, ensure contracts are consistent with ARUK’s policies, funder requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Research policy and process development

· Contribute to the refinement of ARUK’s research finance and contracts policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring they remain aligned with best practice and compliant with legal and regulatory frameworks.

· Support the development and roll-out of new funding schemes by advising on financial models and contract terms.

· Represent ARUK at relevant sector forums, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in research funding and compliance.

Management Responsibilities

· Line management of a Research Executive, effectively delegating work to support delivery of their objectives

· Help to promote an inspiring team culture across the Research Funding team where personal development is prioritised

What we are looking for:

· Significant experience in research finance and/or research contract management, ideally within a medical research funder, university, NHS, or research setting.

· Sound knowledge of research funding frameworks, budgeting principles, and financial governance.

· Sound financial literacy, including relevant experience of managing budgets, financial reporting and analysing data

· Experience drafting and negotiating research-related agreements, with a good understanding of IP, data sharing, and collaboration issues.

· Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and diplomatically.

· Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

· Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities and identifying risks

· A team player who can collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally to deliver

The main purpose of the Research Administrator role is to be a conscientious and dedicated person, who will support the team and provide administrative assistance to the smooth running of various activities within the team, including those associated to grant funding and strategic initiatives. This role will be known internally as Research Executive.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Grants management and administration

· Provide administrative support associated with the funding and running of research projects, such as processing applications for funding or supporting the review process.

· Respond to enquiries from grant-holders, applicants and prospective applicants in an accurate and timely manner.

· Be a key point of contact for grant-holders, and process requests for changes to grants.

· Assist with the execution of contractual agreements with research organisations.

· Process invoices, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with the financial monitoring of research expenditure.

· Maintain digital records of grants and support the ongoing maintenance of ARUK's grant management system.

Research meetings and events

· Organise research meetings and events by coordinating schedules, travel and accommodation arrangements, venue hiring, catering, courier collections and deliveries, and liaising with meeting attendees.

· Assist with the running of meetings and events.

Other duties

· Support the team in maintaining external webpages.

· Provide ad hoc, additional support or resourcing for other Research team activities.

· Work collaboratively with other Research team members in the delivery of ARUK’s grant schemes and strategic initiatives, as required.

Age International is recruiting for a Senior Policy Adviser with a proven background in achieving impact, for a 12-month maternity cover contract, working 28 hours per week. Salary advertised is FTE - 35 hours.

Key purpose of the role

Partnership Experience Manager (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £38,814 - £44,581 pro-rata (depending on experience and FTE)

Contract: 12 months fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover- might be potentially extended)

Location: This is currently a blended-working role with two in-office days (Tuesday-Thursday) during term time and the flexibility to work from home during school holidays. Occasional travel to schools and events will be required.

About the role

You will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement and growth of our national partnership through deepening the quality and impact of our local collaboration hubs. You will also oversee the day-to-day running of hubs of our schools and trusts, which includes holding responsibility for the operations of the Partnerships Team and working closely with the Partnership Lead to ensure that all hubs, schools and trusts have an excellent experience with Challenge Partners. 

You will also oversee the implementation of the organisation’s Account Management strategy, working closely with members of the Leadership Team  to implement our strategy for effective partnership experience (our term for account management and customer service) for our partner schools and trusts. This includes holding some key strategic relationships, representing the organisation at external meetings and overseeing partner experience operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Partnership Experience Manager will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:

Strategic Leadership and Management  - Hub Quality and Impact

• Develop and lead our strategy to improve the quality and impact of Challenge Partners’ Hubs, continuing to develop high performing hubs and supporting rapid improvement in new and emerging hubs

• Deliver, grow and evaluate the impact of our hub-led programmes: Middle Leaders’ Quality Assurance Review and Leadership Residency Programme

• Oversee the continuous improvement of national Knowledge Exchange and Areas of Excellence

• Lead a Hub Quality and Impact team, including all central team hub owners and executive hub links, through providing clarity on the Hub Quality and Impact strategy and operations.

Strategic Leadership and Management - Partnership Experience and Communications

• Develop and lead the implementation of our Account Management strategy ensuring that accounts are given the attention needed to ensure a smooth experience and high satisfaction rates

• Oversee Customer Care processes across the organisation, guaranteeing that any issues are resolved in a professional and timely manner 

• Oversee whole partnership communications, including half termly partnership newsletters

• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships (Senior Partners, Hub Managers, trust CEOs) with your allocated key accounts to ensure that regular dialogue with them informs the strategy and continuous improvement in our support of hub quality and partner experience

• Act as an ambassador for Challenge Partners, representing the organisation externally where required

• Lead an Account Management approach through providing clarity on the account management strategy and operations.

Oversight of partner experience and hub management operations 

• Line management of the Partnership Lead and one or two Partnership Co-ordinators

• Team leadership of the Hub Quality and Impact and Account Management teams, delegating tasks appropriately 

• Work closely with the Partnership Lead to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all hubs 

• Act as a point of escalation for any issues across hubs

• Identify hubs at risk, and lead on creating sustainable solutions with team members

• Work closely with the Finance Team to facilitate our invoicing processes for each academic year 

• Oversee hub funding processes across all hubs, proactively considering any changes needed in line with Hub Quality work

• Oversee Pricing Governance processes

As Diocesan Director of Ordinands, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and discerning vocations to ordained ministry within the Church of England. You will guide individuals through the national discernment process, ensuring they are supported spiritually, pastorally and practically. You will be leading a high-quality Vocations and DDO team of two full-time Area Directors of Ordinand (ADO), one full-time Administrator, and 7 part-time Volunteer Assistant Directors of Ordinands (VADO).

About You

The Job Role

As the Director of Finance, ICT and Investments, you will play a pivotal role in shaping MMHS’s financial strategy to support its strategic objectives and enable sound decision-making. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will have a strategic mindset, with the ability to provide insights to your senior colleagues, and you will provide advice and guidance to the board of trustees, becoming a trusted partner. You will develop and deliver financial plans, oversee financial systems to ensure robust control and compliance, and lead key financial activities such as monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, projections, and annual audits. Additionally, you will identify financial challenges and opportunities, develop approaches to address them, and lead and motivate your small team to cultivate a high-performing culture.

In ICT, you will implement MMHS’s strategy effectively, leading transformation projects to modernise and improve technology infrastructure and processes. You will also manage relationships with MMHS’s external support and services provider.

The Person

This is a key post for the organisation, and they are looking for someone who can provide a long-term view while being ‘hands-on’ with day-to-day operations. About the role 

As our Health & Safety Manager, you will handle the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our Health & Safety systems. You will act as the organisation’s competent person, providing expert advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation. 

You will monitor changes in legislation and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Head of Grants Management to join our Financial Planning & Analysis unit which provides timely financial planning and reporting across the whole organisation. Managing a small team, you will deliver first class financial support on over 160 grants and £32m of expenditure. ABOUT THE ROLE

Variety is looking for an experienced Office and Facilities Manager who is proactive and highly organised to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our office environment. This role blends operations, facilities management, and a bit of people-first thinking—ensuring the workspace is safe, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone. We own our building in Camden which has three floors and we intend to rent out one of the floors (one floor is c2,628sq feet). This role requires management of office building matters, tenants and general office management including assistance to CEO.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Office Management:

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for office-related vendors (cleaning, supplies, security, etc.).
• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Support onboarding/offboarding processes from a facilities perspective
• Handle incoming mail and deliveries and ensure efficient distribution.
• First point of contact for calls, visitors, and general office inquiries.

Governance:

• Assistance to CEO with diary coordination, organisation of events, meetings, and in-office gatherings.
• Coordination of finance committee and Trustee meetings
• Minute taking at meetings as required
• Administrative assistance as required

Facilities Management:

• Oversee building maintenance, safety procedures, and office infrastructure.
• Liaise with tenants, building management, and external contractors to ensure facilities are well-maintained.
• Monitor and manage office budgets related to supplies, utilities, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; manage risk assessments and fire safety drills.
• Lead sustainability initiatives within the office (e.g. recycling, energy-saving practices).
• Ensuring health and safety compliance for staff including being the fire marshal

Cost management

· solicit and compare competitive quotes for office services and building making recommendations based on quality, reliability, and value.

· Negotiate contracts to optimise costs without compromising service standards.

· Proactively identify areas for cost reduction or improvements.

Administrative & Support:

• Maintain records of office leases, utilities, and insurance policies.
• Manage access control systems and office security.
• Support leadership with general administrative tasks when required.
• Create and maintain facilities manuals, process documentation, and onboarding guides.

Other

· Health and safety duties including fire marshal- training will be provided.

· Undertake any other duties that may from time to time be required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Proven experience as an Office and Facilities Manager, or similar role.

Somerset Wildlife Trust requires a talented Administrator to join the busy People, Culture & Resources Team.

This is a key post within the Trust communicating with key stakeholders and Teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development, joining a team of passionate people committed to working together to achieve more for nature in the beautiful county of Somerset.

The role will provide effective governance organising and facilitating Trust Council and committee meetings. Responsibilities will include scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes for board and committee meetings. The Governance and Business Administrator will be maintaining records, advising on governance procedures and liaising with stakeholders.

As Business Administrator within the People, Culture and Resources (PCR) Team, the role will provide office support, answering telephone calls, emails, handling correspondence and maintaining records. The role will develop and maintain relationships with Trustees, external contacts and other stakeholders. Also, the role will implement techniques and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibility 1: Lead on providing expertise on a comprehensive governance service

1. Acting as secretary to the Trusts Council, sub committees and Sales Board.
2. Providing logistical and administrative support to the CEO, Directors, Chair and Trustees.
3. Supporting the chair to set dates of council meetings, produce Council agendas in liaison with the CEO, Chair & Committee Chairs and ensuring accurate minutes are taken, approved, and circulated in a timely manner.
4. Working autonomously maintaining the governance archive for Council and overseeing full governance archive on SharePoint.
5. Maintaining live files and records at Companies House.
6. Acting as secretary to the Nominations Committee including maintaining the register of trustee and honorary officer terms of office and managing the process of nominating, recruiting and inducting Trustees.
7. Assisting with the production of high-quality papers and presentation materials and developing solutions to complex issues.
8. Fixing dates, orchestrate agendas, papers and minutes for Council meetings and carry out chasing actions as required using your excellent communication and negotiation skills.
9. Organising and facilitating Trustee inductions.
10. Regular and structured reviewing of governance documents, policies, processes, and terms of reference, keeping abreast of developments in governance legislation & best practice.
11. Maintaining and updating the SWT Governance Handbook and ensuring legal compliance.

Responsibility 2: Provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the People, Culture and Resources Team to support the smooth running of the office.

1. Overseeing the PCR team administrative support functions.
2. Handling communications:  Greeting clients, answering incoming calls, replying to emails and dealing with both incoming and outgoing post.
3. Organising schedules: Scheduling meetings, appointments and events, and organising any necessary materials for them.
4. Maintaining office equipment:  Operating and maintaining equipment such as photocopier and franking machine.
5. Supporting staff: providing administrative support to colleagues with occasional administrative work on PCR projects.
6. Keeping track of inventory and ordering office supplies such as first aid equipment, coffee and tea and other items.
7. Using spreadsheets for budget evidencing and monitoring purposes – (credit card transactions & Amazon purchasing).

Responsibility 3: Utilising your strong commitment to customer service, provide a first-class customer service for the organisation and its stakeholders, ensuring that every customer is completely satisfied with their customer experience

1. Ensuring that all telephone, face to face and written enquiries are responded to promptly and dealt with in an efficient manner.
2. Answering customer queries, responding to questions from incoming correspondence.
3. Resolving complaints by liaising with relevant teams to ensure customer satisfaction and ensure regular contact with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
4. Keeping accurate records of customer interactions including a complaints log.
5. Providing information to stakeholders to answer questions and queries.
6. Escalating issues referring any complex issues to Heads or Team managers when necessary.

Interim Head of Digital

Contract: One-year fixed term maternity cover contract

• Lead a culture of systematic learning and improvement; drive the use of digital analysis tools, data, results and the deployment of this in all aspects of digital development and lead on overarching programme to upskill the organisation on digital and AI, including bringing senior leaders on board
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current digital and charity (digital) trends, technology and best practice through networking, attending conferences and horizon scanning
• Lead and be accountable for ensuring that all relevant digital regulatory, ethical and compliance requirements are met

• Proven experience of leveraging digital agencies or in house teams for digital channels such as website, email systems, digital advertising
