Hope at Home operates a hosting scheme for survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK. We train and support volunteer hosts to welcome a survivor facing homelessness into their homes for an agreed time period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruiting new volunteer hosts using networking and marketing skills including cold calling, following up warm leads and presenting at in person events.
- Supporting hosts with training, host support groups and staying in touch.
- Processing referrals and facilitating guest placements
- Building relationships with partner agencies

SOHK is at a new and exciting stage of development. Having delivered its programmes to thousands of adults and young people over the past 13 years, in 2024 we chose to focus solely on working in schools. This shift responds to a dramatic rise in need among young people in the UK, many of whom are struggling to navigate adolescence amid rising poverty, a mental health crisis, and increasing isolation.
We plan to double the number of young people engaging with our programmes over the next five years. OVERVIEW
The Trusts & Foundations Manager will play a central role in shaping SOHK’s future growth. They will lead on major grant applications, support targeted bids aligned with regional delivery, and manage relationships with existing charitable funders.
Around one-third of SOHK’s £1.5 million income currently comes from grants, with active partnerships including major funders such as the Garfield Weston Foundation and Impetus. Sustaining and growing this income will require proactive research, strategic outreach, and a highly organised, detail-focused approach to both applications and stewardship.
The role works closely with the CEO, who is committed to leveraging their time and networks to support fundraising success. The post-holder will also collaborate with Regional Directors and other fundraising colleagues, while enjoying a high level of autonomy and contributing to the long-term direction of SOHK’s Trusts & Foundations strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and submit high-quality funding proposals, including applications for six-figure and multi-year grants, by meeting appropriate deadlines and tailoring applications so they appeal to different funder priorities
- Manage and develop a strong pipeline of Trust & Foundations funders for future years, including researching and prospecting new leads through active outreach
- Work with the CEO, Regional Directors and overall fundraising team to identify key funding priorities and strategically deploying the capacity available
- Develop and keep the fundraising CRM updated as a central source of trusts and foundations knowledge, clearly identifying funding gaps and adjusting targets
- Strengthen existing funding partnerships through warm stewardship and efficient grant reporting, maximising the charity’s chances of repeat funding
- Build upon the organisational strategy for scaling trusts & foundations income
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Demonstrable track record in leading on successful medium and major grant applications, including six-figure and multi-year grants
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to present a compelling case for support to a variety of funders
- Comfortable in understanding and presenting financial information and in creating budgets for grant applications
- Experience with CRM/fundraising databases for tracking applications, deadlines, and relationship management
- Highly organised and proactive, used to taking the lead on managing a large volume of potential grants in line with the submission dates
- Confident in liaising and engaging with external organisations, including building new relationships with potential funders who are invite-only
- Enjoy working across different teams within an organisation, bringing in new perspectives and utilising the assets and expertise of current staff for fundraising purposes

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
- Salary range: £37,000 - £40,000

Skills and competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of trusts, foundations and high net worth individual fundraising best practice.
- Proven experience of raising 6 and 7 figure gifts from Trusts, Foundations and High Net Worth Individuals.

All Support Coaches are given the opportunity to go through the coaching accreditation process with ICF to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Kids Matter provides the support and supervision for this to take place, and will cover the cost of the accreditation if the individual remains employed as a Support Coach for the two years following applying for accreditation. If the individual leaves before two years, a percentage of the accreditation cost will be required to pay back.

The role
Sustrans is the UK’s leading active travel organisation, working to make it possible for people across society to walk, wheel and cycle. We have a new strategy for the next five years, a key strand of which is to unlock active travel in new housing developments, and we are recruiting a Head of New Developments to lead this work.
This is a new position in which you will draw on your experience in the housing delivery sector to grow Sustrans’ contribution to the creation of new communities that have active mobility at their heart. As well as leading our influencing work aimed at organisations in housing delivery, you will develop and promote an offer to partners, drawing on Sustrans’ existing infrastructure, behaviour change and advisory services. You will connect with, inform and inspire professionals and decision makers involved in delivering new homes to adopt the actions required to increase active travel in their developments. Through collaboration with our Commercial team and subject experts across Sustrans, you will develop a pipeline of funded work from public, private and third sector organisations, ultimately enabling more households to walk, wheel or cycle for their day-to-day journeys.
The role can be based in any Sustrans office and will involve frequent in-person meetings and site visits, particularly (but not exclusively) in the Midlands and South of England.
About you
You’ll have significant experience contributing to the delivery of new developments through work for or with organisations such as developers, housing providers, consultancies, local authorities or government. We’re looking for applicants with a professional network in housing delivery, and significant experience securing new commissions from and/or influencing organisations involved in delivering new developments. You’ll have a strong understanding of the development process, including the spatial planning system, and of the roles of the parties involved in delivering new developments, the power dynamics between them, and the opportunities and appetite each has for taking action to increase active travel. Naturally, you’ll have deep knowledge of the challenges, opportunities and hot topics in housing delivery – for new towns, urban extensions and urban intensification schemes.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a proactive and relationships-driven Partnerships Account Manager for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate partners.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, expand their portfolio and accelerate income from mission-aligned businesses.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on nurturing existing partnerships and developing new ones, with a specific focus on increasing income through employee engagement and payroll giving schemes. It will also ensure that each partnership is maximised and aligned with Hearing Dogs’ mission and fundraising goals.
The post-holder will work closely with internal teams and corporate supporters to deliver engaging campaigns, employee fundraising, volunteering opportunities and impactful communications that help raise income and awareness for the charity.
It is a role that will require excellent stewardship, creativity and commercial awareness skills for mutual value – that means you will need strong relationship management and excellent communication skills. A background in corporate fundraising will be essential, alongside the ability to identify and maximise the potential of corporate support opportunities, including financial and in-kind support. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Events Coordinator lead the development and delivery of Khulisa’s communications strategy and key campaigns, designed to engage our supporters, stakeholders, and the wider UK public.
About Khulisa:
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.
Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we also work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester.
About the role:
This role will be a key part of helping to raise awareness of Khulisa’s mission and the issues we address, strengthening support for our programmes. The postholders will also take ownership of planning and delivering all Khulisa events, ensuring they are impactful and well-executed.
- Develop and deliver Khulisa’s Communications and Branding Strategy in line with the strategic plan.
- Lead public engagement campaigns to raise awareness, promote youth voice, and drive participation.
- Plan and manage events, including fundraising and challenge events, from concept to delivery.
- Create and manage digital content across social media, website, newsletters, and other channels.
- Recruit and supervise volunteers to support communications and event-related activities.

The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel to various locations across the London and the North West as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the role and to engage with stakeholders and colleagues.
What we're looking for:
1. Abilities/Experiences
- Experience in digital campaigning and digital content creation.
- Experience of planning and delivering events, including fundraising events, liaising with partners, suppliers and colleagues.
- Excellent written, copywriting and editing skills and proven ability to communicate campaigning messages in a compelling, succinct and engaging way.
- Experience creating digital content for a variety of audiences, including experience of using a range of digital software and tools, and knowledge of message testing and optimisation.
- Experience in designing popular, results-oriented and successful campaigns.
- Ability to use design software (such as InDesign, Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Experience working within a close-knit team in a busy and fast paced working environment.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise own workload with minimum supervision.
- Ability to buy strongly into strategic objectives and reflect passion for Khulisa’s work with and for young people.
- Experience of using Salesforce or similar CRM system as well as all-in-one marketing platform such as
- Mailchimp to deliver effective long-term public engagement.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
2. Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Project Management, Events Management or Communications, or equivalent years of experience.
3. Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of relevant software and digital tools to deliver effective long-term public engagement and digital fundraising campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress or similar website builder.
- Knowledge of best practice in digital fundraising.

At Cruse, we have recently launched our new strategy, setting out our charity’s plans to grow our income and build on our expertise and unique position in the sector. We provide expert bereavement and grief information and support, and our charity has been supporting people for over 65 years. We support adults, children and young people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, through our national services, 84 local branches and online information about grief and bereavement.
You will lead the Community Fundraising and Individual Giving team to inspire support and donations from groups, organisations and individuals in local communities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. You will oversee a range of activity across the Community fundraising team and manage a portfolio of relationships including Fundraising Champions (volunteers in branches) and key donors and supporters. You will review, inform and deliver activity to secure individual giving income and promote gifts in Wills, building our income from individuals including those who have received support from Cruse.
As part of the Income and Marketing/Communications Management Team, you will help shape plans to grow our income, raise awareness and increase engagement from volunteers and donors. Working with key colleagues in Services, Volunteering and Finance, and key volunteers, you will build our approach to Community and Individual Giving.
