Overall purpose of the role

To lead the development of a regular giving and legacy programme at the AHF, and to support the Director of Programmes/Deputy CEO in development and management of a major gifts programme during the AHF’s 50th Anniversary campaign, with possibility for continued role thereafter. 5. Lead on managing the AHF’s donor database, Beacon, ensuring the data is up to date with giving from Charities Aid Foundation and other external gifts, that fundraising activity is appropriately recorded on the database, and that our records are fully compliant with data protection legislation.
    
6. Work closely with the Communications Office and consultants supporting the AHF’s 50th Anniversary campaign, with an eye on developing and maximising opportunities to introduce the AHF to new potential supporters and to bolster our key messaging with those already known to us. 7. Develop and maintain a reporting structure to keep AHF SMT and Board up to date with fundraising activity and opportunities.
    
8. Responsible for maintaining the AHF’s log relating to Donor Due Diligence and assisting the Director of Programmes & Deputy CEO with maintaining appropriate policies related to fundraising, including those associated with donor due diligence.
    
9. Contribute to the development and delivery of new ways of working at the AHF that will see our organisation build and maintain greater philanthropic fundraising success, including bringing examples of best practice from other charities. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager to join our small and friendly Development team (Fundraising and Membership) and drive our strategy for Membership. With a healthy existing membership base of nearly 15,000, and a database of 100,000 registrants, this role will support the Head of Development in delivering the best possible membership offer for families in the Twins Trust community. You will be supported by a Membership Officer to continually evaluate and improve our membership proposition, giving members a brilliant experience and ensuring we can secure sustainable income for the charity.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Four-five days per week (30 - 37 hours) Negotiable for the right candidate
Flexibility: We are a flexible employer and most of our staff are juggling things (including caring for multiples!). We are great at making jobs work around life.
Salary: £35k - £37k pro rata
Reports to: Head of Development 
Work location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge, although entirely remote option is fine.

Purpose of the role

• Accountable for Twins Trust’s annual membership income, delivering a high-quality membership journey through all phases of membership
• Work closely with our Communications Team to develop and implement strategies to attract new members, and lead on retention plans to maximise member satisfaction and loyalty
• Line manage a Membership Officer, guiding them to provide excellent customer service to Twins Trust's members, process all membership income and maintain membership information on the database, Microsoft Dynamics
• Ensure membership processes – including processing income - are efficient, effective and implemented consistently
• Draw intelligence from our membership database, using surveys and analysing data to inform decisions that keep our membership offer fresh and relevant
• Champion the member voice internally, bringing together working groups to continuously improve our offer and ensure members’ needs are reflected in service delivery
• Collaborate with the Comms team to deliver our membership offer on our digital platforms and explore ways to harness technology to deliver what our members want and need in the long term

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and delivering a membership strategy as well as managing the operational aspects of membership processing (database, compliance with codes of practice, data protection and BACS regulations). They should have excellent attention to detail, the ability to think creatively and analytically, excellent digital skills and IT skills, and a can-do attitude.

Summary

We are seeking a proactive and diligent Compliance Officer to join our Recruitment and Operations team. You will be responsible for providing a robust compliant onboarding service for all successful applicants to our awardwinning Tutoring Programmes; ensuring all candidates are ready and fully eligible to start their delivering tuition sessions in colleges across the country. The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end onboarding process and ensure all pre-employment checks meet the standards required by Get Further and safer recruitment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Onboarding:

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all pre-employment checks (Right to Work, DBS, references, and safeguarding requirements) are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate and secure records in line with GDPR and safer recruitment practices.
• Oversee the offboarding process where appropriate Safeguarding and Quality Assurance
• Ensure all safeguarding requirements are met and documented within our CRM system.
• Monitor compliance requirements and ensure continuous alignment with safer recruitment policies.
• Work closely with the Head of Recruitment to deliver in line with Get Further’s five-year strategy.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage tutor communications during the onboarding stage, ensuring candidate enquiries are responded to promptly via the shared mailbox.
• Liaise with College HR departments, providing assurance letters and compliance information for tutors.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and cross-team coordination.
• Support the onboarding process by reviewing and collating documentation and references.
• Ensure all Right to Work (RTW) checks are completed accurately and renewed and in a timely manner.
• Oversee the processing and verification of enhanced DBS checks, tutor reference requests and Social online Media checks.
• Ensure all safeguarding requirements are met and documented within our CRM database.
• Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and compliance standards.
• Manage our Tutor Training booking process.
• Oversee the offboarding process where appropriate.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance.
• Manage tutor communications during the onboarding stage and oversee our onboarding mailbox – ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
• Liaise with College HR departments and provide assurance letters for Get Further Tutors.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison based.
