Operations Director:
A new post at the Longford Trust, created at an exciting time of growth and development for the charity.
- A 3 day-a-week role;
- Reporting to the Director and working as part of the Senior Management Team of the trust, within an overall cohort of eight, all part-time posts;
- Paid pro-rata of £50-55,000 depending on experience via PAYE with pensions contributions;
- The trust has no physical office, so team members work remotely, with flexible hours, but all team members work Tuesdays. There are regular face-to-face team meetings, as well as one-to-ones, so easy access to London an advantage.

- Leadership role in following areas: strategy, developing and implementing the 10-Year-Plan; HR; our Frank Awards programme; Communications and Marketing, systems, digital and AI.
- Working with the Director on fund-raising and finance, growing and nurturing our core partnerships;

Person specification
Essential qualities you need to be able to demonstrate:
- commitment to prison reform, with an understanding of the prison system and the barriers it creates for those leaving prison (lived experience of the prison or the criminal justice system is valued);
- senior management background either in a charitable organisation or in a relevant area;
- an entrepreneurial approach;

The Longford Trust was set up in 2002. Each November, it stages an annual Longford Lecture and awards an annual Longford Prize. Our Longford Scholarship programme supports young serving and ex-prisoners to continue their rehabilitation by going to university. It is the only programme of its type across the UK, supporting more than 600 individuals so far, with over 100 current award-holders, as well as many alumni who continue to be part of the trust. Between 80 and 85% of those we support go on to graduate, move into employment and build new lives. Our scholarship programme accounts for more than three quarters of our expenditure

The Role
As HR Officer, you will play a role in bringing structure, consistency and clarity to Brent Centre’s HR processes. PKD Scotland: Outreach and Community Connections Project.
It is estimated that around 5,000 people in Scotland could be living with Polycystic Kidney
Disease. It is however often poorly understood and historically underfunded, meaning people
can leave clinic after diagnosis with little support beyond medical appointments. Many tell us
they don't know where to turn for emotional support or to meet others living with the same
condition. We want to change that and with support from a National lottery Awards for All grant
that is exactly what we are going to do.
The eighteen-month project will see us reach into hospitals across Scotland to try and ensure
that no one with PKD in Scotland has to manage their journey on their own. From diagnosis
onwards we want all to be aware of the charity, the array of services that we offer and foster
engagement. Two new volunteer led support groups will be established and a group of
ambassadors recruited to support the ongoing connections we make to ensure that PKD
remains in the spotlight.
As our Scotland PKD Engagement Officer you will be central to the success of the project.
Many people only reach us years after diagnosis, often when symptoms worsen, but we know
that early connection can make a real difference. PKD is lifelong and people face new

We are looking for a Partnerships Officer to join our busy and ambitious Corporate Partnerships team. You will help build and grow meaningful relationships with businesses that support our mission to tackle hunger. You will manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized corporate partners, providing excellent stewardship to maximise fundraising, deepen engagement and ensure partnerships continue to grow in value and impact.
You will also support the development of key strategic partnerships and contribute to the delivery of high-profile campaigns with the hospitality and restaurant sector. Alongside this, you will help identify and cultivate new corporate supporters through prospect research, proposals and outreach, working collaboratively across the organisation to strengthen partnerships and generate sustainable income for our work.
You will be joining our Partnerships team at an exciting time as we continue to deliver against our outcome focused strategy, which puts partnership at the heart of all that we do. The Museums Association (MA) is seeking a part time Policy Officer to play a leading role in developing our policy and campaigns work.
In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to deliver admin support for our campaigns and policy, including Museums Change Lives, Museums and Climate Justice, Decolonising Museums, and anti-racism. You will support committees and stakeholders, help to draft policy papers and support the development and delivery of communication and dissemination plans. You will also have the opportunity to draft impactful content for our website, events and online learning, and respond to information requests to ensure that we deliver for our membership and the wider sector.
You will support and work closely with the MA’s policy and ethics lead, including delivering advocacy across the UK nations and have opportunity to develop a role in campaign areas where you have experience and/or interest.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and communication skills; knowledge of the policy-making process in the UK; the ability to research and write accessible, clear policy content for a range of audiences; an enthusiasm for museums and the positive difference that they can make working in partnership with their communities; and will be able to manage multiple individual pieces of work.
