We are looking for a new Programme Manager to join our team and oversee our Family Group Conference services throughout the London Boroughs of Bromley and Hackney.

We are doing this at a time when the Government has set out a clear vision for Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) to become a central offer to families experiencing challenges and engaging with Children’s and Families Services. ABOUT THE ROLE

This role could suit two types of candidates:

• A practitioner with experience of working with children and families who wants to use their practice experience in a programme management role, or;
• An experienced programme manager with strong public sector and/or charity sector experience, who is confident working with data and is relational and collaborative with colleagues and partners.

It would be an advantage, though not essential, to have experience of Family Group Decision Making, solution-focused practice, or the children’s social care sector.

Whilst this role is a managerial role, and not day-to-day family-facing we do make space for our Programme Managers to hold a limited number of referrals each year to nurture skills and practice experience. Full practitioner training is provided for all Daybreak employees.

The role is home based with regular travel into Bromley and Hackney Local Authority offices. A successful candidate would also need to actively work in person with commissioners, external partners, and communities in and around Bromley and Hackney on a regular basis, depending on service needs. Willingness to travel to other areas, depending on service need and growth is needed.

What does a week look like for a Daybreak Programme Manager?

No two weeks are the same, but as a Programme Manager you can expect to balance a mix of operational oversight, supporting your freelancer team, and stakeholder engagement. Typical activities include:

Ensuring a quality service for families, and delivering on contract aims

• Reviewing and triaging referrals, including case discussions with referrers.
• Quality-assuring referrals and Family Plans, ensuring procedures are followed and records are kept up to date in our case management system.
• Monitoring case records to make sure Family Group Conferences are progressing appropriately, and accurate records are being kept.
• Collating and analysing performance data (KPIs), using MS Excel and other tools.
• Writing quarterly reports for commissioners, analysing service delivery, providing narratives and identifying areas for development.

Working with your freelancer team of Coordinators

• Allocating new referrals to our team of freelance Independent Coordinators.
• Engaging Coordinators in best practice discussions, providing guidance to overcoming barriers or issues.
• Acting as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, reviewing incident reports and escalating when required.
• Hosting in-person and online Practice Development Groups to share key messages and facilitate best practice discussions.
• Recruiting, inducting, and supporting new Coordinators - from advertising and interviews to observing practice.
• Reviewing and signing off invoices from freelance Coordinators.

Working with external stakeholders and referrers

• Building relationships with referrers such as Social Workers, through consultations and attending team meetings.
• Promoting our services to commissioners and senior managers in children’s social care, ensuring referrals are high quality whilst also raising awareness of the value of FGCs and our service.

Contributing to the wider Charity aims

• Attending Programme Manager and staff team meetings.
• Contributing ideas and expertise to strengthen processes, improve service delivery, expand our offer to families, and support Daybreak’s wider charitable goals.

DETAILS

• Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience
• Location: The role is home based with regular travel into Bromley and Hackney Local Authority offices. There is also occasionally travel to Southampton (Head Office) for meetings and other areas, based on operational need.

Assistant Centre Manager

Role to cover: Bookings, Marketing & Administration

Report to: Centre Manager

Responsible to: Vicar and PCC

Place of Work: St Pauls Church, Hills Road, CB2 1JP

Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday with capacity to work occasional evenings and a maximum of 2 Saturdays out of 4 each month, if needed. Time off in lieu applied.

Flexible working is possible with core hours being 10am-3pm. This will be discussed on a case-by-case basis and discussed with the Centre manager at the beginning of each week.

Holiday: 25 days per year plus bank holidays. 

This is very much a hands-on role and will be suited to a candidate with sales, marketing and administration experience. This role is a significant and essential one for St Paul’s Church and Community Centre. 

This role has two clear functions. Firstly to take the lead in room hire and bookings for the church. It is vital in this role for the business to be run with professionalism and skill, maximising the income for the church. The post-holder will develop a clear business strategy with support from the Centre Manager and commercial trustees. The business strategy should be mindful of the wider mission of the church and its community interests. An element of the position is event coordination, to help plan and run events, weddings, and to support external hirers with logistics and setup.

The second function of the role is marketing and communications. The post-holder will be responsible for helping to promote not just the commercial side of the business, but St Paul’s Church and Community Centre as a whole. This means developing an approach across social media, the physical building, the website, and other avenues to communicate the wider vision of St Paul’s. This will be done in consultation with the Centre Manager, Vicar, other staff members and with the PCC.

The role is the engine of the church, providing the necessary income to run the building, employ staff and help run the community programmes. You will be proactive and a self-starter, actively looking for business and ensuring all marketing has been produced and published accordingly. You will lead on the production of physical and digital assets and enable the updating of our website.

Experience in property management and with working in the 3rd Sector would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Report to:

The assistant centre manager is a key role in the life of St Paul’s Church. Working closely with the Centre Manager, other staff and volunteers, the postholder is essential to the smooth running of all our operations. The postholder works across the church and centre programmes but with a particular focus on bookings and marketing.

 Role Description

Commercial:

• Be the lead on managing the commercial bookings from the initial enquiry all the way to the end of the booking, dealing with any queries or issues arising.

• Ensure that bookings are well-managed and appropriate for the spaces and facilities offered. Be available to work some Saturdays and evenings in order to facilitate out of hours and larger weekend events.

• Respond to bookings enquiries on email, via our website, on the phone and in person with a customer-focused professionalism and skill.

• Work with the Centre Manager and Vicar to ensure the appropriateness of bookings and cross-referencing with the church diary and community programme.

• Make and complete bookings on our Midas (or similar) booking system, detailing as much information as possible to be able to share with other members of the team. 

• Work with the Centre Manager and Vicar to ensure the appropriateness of bookings and cross-referencing with the church diary and community programme.

• Administer all booking invoices in line with our agreed commercial terms, including deposits, and ensure clear paperwork/ communication for the book-keeper. Chase bad debts when necessary.

• Support the review of booking rates (including benchmarking), terms & conditions and commercial policies, conducted by the trustees.

• Bring in new business to the centre by reaching out to past, present and new clients to increase bookings.

Marketing:

• Be responsible for marketing St Paul’s Church and Community Centre, including physical and social media content. Be proactive in designing posters, flyers, banners and other promotional material, working with external designers and printers when needed.

• Advertise and promote the centre spaces for hire, working with the centre manager and commerce committee to maximise income.

• Ensure that both our physical and digital assets are within brand guidelines, professional and that they promote St Paul’s Church and Community Centre in a positive way.

• Oversee the website and ensure that it is up to date; oversee any new website design project. Enable other staff members to edit the website and support our social media.

Other:

• Be a team player who communicates and works well with our volunteers, the staff team, the commerce committee and vicar.

• Support the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operations of running the church and centre, including parish administration, practical tasks and liaison with external contractors, as necessary.

• Be involved in and support special projects, church events and community programmes e.g. ArtsFest.

• From time to time, you may be required to undertake tasks outside the specific tasks listed above.

• Ordering general supplies for centre such as cleaning and kitchen equipment.

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.

About the roles:

These roles offer flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients across London as required. You will work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with some evening and weekend working on occasion dependent upon client need.

As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, to explain our services, and assess the impact of crime.

Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users. You will need to be able to manage a demanding workload, travel to appointments with clients and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.

Now, we are looking for a dynamic, innovative and creative Communications and Marketing Manager to join our Fundraising Team, helping us grow our impact and lead our external communications and digital marketing efforts to support more survivors of modern slavery.

As Communications and Marketing Manager, you will lead on crafting and delivering compelling communications that strengthen our brand, deepen supporter engagement, and drive income. With a strategic approach and a passion for storytelling, you will also oversee and support the delivery of creative, consistent and sensitive messaging internally and externally.  

The role is responsible for continuing and enhancing both public and internal communication. We are a growing charity helping to lead the way in supporting survivors of modern slavery. This role is a pivotal part of the Fundraising team and will help us to deliver our aim to empower survivors of modern slavery and exploitation.    

This role is designed for someone who enjoys cultivating and developing income through individual giving and thrives on excellent and creative communication.  

What You’ll Be Doing:   

This person will take the lead on developing and delivering the organisation’s communication and marketing, in line with our branding, mission, vision and values. This includes:   

• Lead on branding, digital presence (website, social media, newsletters), and compelling storytelling to grow awareness, engage supporters, and recruit staff/volunteers. 

• Develop and deliver campaigns, newsletters, and case studies with sensitivity, ensuring consistent brand representation and co-produced content with beneficiaries. 

• Contribute to annual fundraising strategy, create detailed communications/marketing plans with budgets and targets, and strengthen the donor journey. 

• Partner with the fundraising team to drive income through digital marketing, supporter engagement, donor retention, and data-led reporting. 

• Manage eTapestry records, supporter data, and income tracking, while recommending improvements in data management and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Job Purpose:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Family Centre provision to support families with children and young people aged 0-19 years (up to 25 years with disabilities and additional needs) that are identified as the most need of support or have emerging needs.

Main Responsibilities:

•  Management of the implementation of the Surrey County Council Families First specification for Family Centres and Family Resilience Support provision.
•  To monitor the Manager’s in-tray, triage referrals, ensure contact with families providing management oversight and comply with all elements of Early Help Module (EHM) Practice standards for Child Records – Family Centres and Family Support Programme guidance.
•  With the Family and Youth Manager to devise and review the service delivery plan including emerging needs groups and partnership working with HomeStart East Surrey and other agencies.
•  Use Tableau data and Outcome tools to plan service delivery.
•  Show evidence of the impact of the support that is provided and record this on Early Help Management System (EHM), Outcome Stars and other systems as appropriate.
• Work with the Head of Finance, Head of CYP and the Youth & Family Service Manager to manage the budgets of the Family Centre and consider other sources of revenue.
• Manage Senior / Family Support Workers, Admin and other associated staff within the Family Centre and Family Support provision providing regular line management supervision, annual appraisals, and case supervisions.

Annual leave:Five weeks plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time workers) Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks after six years’ service.(pro-rata for part time workers)

The holiday year runs from 1April to 31 March each year.

•  Access – the Foundation for Social Investment works to make sure that charities and social enterprises can access the finance they need to sustain or grow their impact.
• You will be part of a small organisation of around 15 people that take a flexible, collaborative and trust-based approach to work.
• Working closely with the Head of Blended Finance and the wider Programme team you will act as an integral support function for colleagues but also build good relationships with our external partners, supporting their engagement with Access.

What you will deliver (responsibilities)

Programme Support:

• Present analysis and insights based on performance data and any contact with delivery partners to inform decisions within the team about ongoing relationships.
• Support the writing of papers for the Investment Committee and other committees including the Access Board, to present clear information to support understanding and decision-making.
• Help to organise, manage and minute internal and external meetings and events, including peer learning workshops.
• Assist with keeping Programmes pages of the Access website up to date.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of a bank of practical resources for use by our partners
• Other programme support duties as required.

Finance:

• Ensure robust financial management of Access’s programmes, including monitoring deployment targets of social investors and supporting the process for drawing funds from Access.

Relationship management:

•  Become one of the day-to-day points of contact for a portfolio of organisations who are delivering or supporting Access’s programmes, or in the process of applying to do so. These may include social investors, grant partners or other stakeholders.
• Build strong productive and supportive working relationships with delivery partners, in a spirit of collaboration and learning.
• Maintain comprehensive and clear records of the status of the relationship and any key questions or issues which are currently being addressed.

Data and learning:

• Support the acquisition and collation of regular performance data submissions
• Support the analysis and reporting on performance within each delivery partner and across the portfolio.

Other tasks:

• Leading on or supporting the delivery of internal and external events
• Contributing to learning and programme design discussions

What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and product fulfilment.

AFK is a national charity creating opportunities for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse, to increase their independence, reach their individual potential and remove the barriers they face. Our vision is a world where there are no barriers to independence for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience across North London.  

At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.

Overall Job Purpose

As part of the Service Delivery Team, you will take operational responsibility for managing and developing the delivery of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training programmes. You will ensure that corporate and charitable organisations are equipped with practical tools to build inclusive workplace cultures and create accessible career opportunities for young people with additional needs.

In this hands-on role, you will coordinate consultancy projects from start to finish - overseeing scheduling, delivery, marketing, and evaluation - to maintain high standards and meet income targets. Your work will directly support AFK’s mission to create a fairer, more equitable society for people with additional needs.

You will work closely with AFK’s Co-Facilitators - each bringing valuable lived experience - to ensure all EDI training is authentic, relevant, and informed by their expertise.

Working Conditions

The post is 35 hours a week, normally 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

28 days annual leave will be given in addition to public holidays.

Working Relationships

Service Development

· Advance the organisation’s co-production target by working with the youth leadership group, and with other Service Delivery Managers.

· Lead the ongoing development of AFK’s training offer, ensuring a diverse range of services that promote workplace inclusion and equity for people with additional needs.

Business Development

· Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Director of Services and Fundraising Team to identify marketing opportunities for AFK services supporting voluntary and community groups.

· Ensure all training and consultancy is delivered to the highest standards, reflecting best practice and compliance with current legislation and regulations.

· Work closely with employers and Service Delivery colleagues to create meaningful opportunities for young people with additional needs to gain experience, develop skills, and pursue their aspirations.

· Proactively identify and apply for commissioned opportunities with London local authorities.

General

· Uphold AFK’s Safeguarding Policy and contribute to creating a safe environment for young people.

· Prepare and present regular progress reports to the CEO, Executive Director of Services, the Board of Trustees, and other relevant stakeholders.

Schools’ Project Officer (4-5 days per week; 10 months contract with opportunity for renewal)

The job
This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing charity at a pivotal time, and make significant impact as our grass-roots Schools’ Project Officer. You will be visiting schools, explaining about what we do at assemblies and going for follow up sessions, and then giving email feedback to applications.

Who we are
We are a small lively charity promoting the personal development of year 12s in partner schools, through challenging activities that they design, plan and finally undertake adult-free. We invite students (individually or in groups) to develop their own challenges well outside their ‘comfort zones’, and to be responsible for every stage of the process. We help them plan and manage risk, and give them expenses funding. Our award winners have climbed the highest UK peaks, cycled to Paris, performed plays at school, harnessed green power via a bike, among many other imaginative and ambitious projects.   

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total).  There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

The 10-month post is up to 4-5 days per week, based in Southwark, with frequent travel to schools across London. The salary is £26,600–£35,000 pa pro rata. Flexible working is considered.
