Job description

About us
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

Crisis Skylight Coventry & Warwickshire provides innovative and exciting projects, opportunities and support for people who are at risk of being homeless from our Centre in Coventry and in outreach settings across the region. Our aim is to see homelessness ended in Coventry and our unique service offers information, advice and guidance, coaching, teaching & learning which has sustained and continued positive results for people we work with. It is an exciting time in Crisis Skylight Coventry as we support people out of homelessness for good in line with our 5-year strategic plan

About the role
We are a dynamic, innovative and values-led organisation, with the opportunity and flexibility to develop our services to meet the needs of the people we work with. We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work in our Coventry and Warwickshire Skylight service. You will join an extraordinary team of frontline coaches and tutors with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences.

About you
We are looking for people who are community focused and driven by shared values. You will look forward to engaging with individuals who have very difficult lives and have struggled to access traditional forms of support. You will have the skills to offer creative and flexible individual work, alongside consultation and reflective practice to core groups, multi-agency networks and the wider system. You will be excited about joining a local team of people who share a commitment to end homelessness and a national team of 11 clinical psychologists and psychotherapists led by our Lead Psychologist.

We want Crisis to be an inclusive employer which then reflects our members and the communities we work in. We want to offer opportunities to everyone regardless of their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation or age. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of homelessness.
Crisis Skylight Coventry and Warwickshire operates as an outreach model across the county; therefore, it is an essential requirement of the role that you have access to a car on a daily basis.

Working at Crisis
As a member of the team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:

- Interest free loans to purchase a train season ticket or a bike or for a deposit to secure a tenancy
- Mandatory pension scheme, with an employer contribution of 8.5%
- 25 days’ annual leave which increases with service to 28 days

Alongside our excellent staff benefits, we will support your ongoing development to build your skills, experience and career.

When you join us, you will have the opportunity to join our staff diversity networks, which aim to champion issues across the organisation, enable staff to be their authentic and best selves and contribute to making Crisis a truly diverse organisation.

We have 5 staff diversity networks which include Black, Asian and Ethnic people, LGBTQ+ people, those with Lived Experience of Homelessness, Women at Crisis and Disability Awareness.
