Creative Support is seeking committed Support Workers for an exciting opportunity to join our team under the Transforming Care Agenda using a Trauma Informed approach. The Intensive Support Service provides bespoke supported living services in the Bury/Heywood area of Greater Manchester to adults over the age of 18 with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex needs.
The service operates 24/7 using a trauma informed and case management model of care to provide support and opportunities for increased independence in the community for three adults. As a Support Worker, you will be provided with support and direction from the support co-ordinator and service manager. In your role, you will support residents with shopping, cooking or baking, household tasks and meeting personal care needs, as well as meeting unique personal goals. You will be happy working in a consistent, predictable way, enjoying a calm and quiet environment that meets each individual service user’s needs.
Experience of working in the care sector is desirable but not essential, as we will provide all training necessary for the role. Staff members recruited will initially be required to work dynamically between the Registered Office, service and current care provision to ensure service users experience a well-planned transition into their new home.

The role requires the ability to work both independently and within a team, including inducting new peer staff and volunteers, and collaborating with statutory services like the NHS. We are looking to recruit for support workers to join our newly established team. Previous experience of at least twelve months in working with vulnerable adults is essential.
All our services are individualised, person centred and deliver valued outcomes for people, as we passionately believe that the people we support have the right to lives that are meaningful that also enables them to reach their full potential as individuals. Support will be provided 24/7 so shift work and sleep –ins will be involved on a rotational basis.

We are looking for a calm, resourceful and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join our friendly team to make a difference to the lives of people living in a service provision in Shipley, Bradford. You will provide person-centred care and support to individuals with mental health and autism needs, enabling them to take part in all aspects of everyday life and enjoy a wide range of activities. You will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the maturity to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent and mutually supportive team.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist the management team to lead and supervise a team of Support Workers to implement individualised support, ensuring consistency and effective communication throughout. Prior experience of supporting adults with mental health is essential. You must also have (or be willing to work towards) a relevant qualification, such as the NVQ Diploma in Health and Social Care level 2 or 3.
You will be required to work in a flexible manner on a rota which includes evenings and weekends.
